I'm ready for Christmas to be over. It's nice for my daughter, she loves it immensely. I just would rather not make such a big deal about things. I suppose it's because I have no true loyalty to religion or the commercialism that runs rampant in this holiday. Though I suppose getting presents isn't so bad.

Not all of my shopping is done, unlike my husband. Lucky man is done before me. I only have a couple more things to get. Then hopefully we can have a decent Christmas and leave it behind for one more year.

I don't have anymore scars... What the hell?

I have the strangest craving for a very large taco. The world's largest, in fact.

A day sitting around reading while my students run amok? It's a nearly Christmas miracle. Thank you global warming for giving me this day off. I may actually bother to wrap my presents this year, instead of buying gift bags. On the other hand, I think I'll sit around and drink coffee all day and enjoy myself. I'm certainly not driving anywhere. Everyone be safe if you go out.

SNOW?? Anyone else freaked out by the SNOW? I saw a ton of shooting stars last night, too. It's like... since when does it snow here? Is this end-of-the-world stuff, or something?

I've seen three accidents so far today. I don't think I'll be driving anywhere.

Begs the question... how will I be getting to work tomorrow? Fred? Ideas?

The Ranch is snowed in. Only way in or out is in a 4WD vehicle. We get snow out here sometimes, but never like this.

Apparently becoming an "Avenger" was a big deal. Makes up for some of that earlier stuff.

Snow! I'm so happy! ... though really, driving in it isn't that difficult, you lot, it's a bit like driving in rain.

Anyone else want to organize a huge snowball fight? I'm quite good, you want me on your team.

Snow? Here? The hell? Things is weird lately.

For those of you who may not be near a window, there's a smallish meteor shower or a bunch of shooting stars happening. It's really beautiful. They say if you wish on a shooting star, your wish will come true.

We'll see if mine does.

I woke up to THIS today.

And I have to admit, it made me smile for a long while afterwards. Haven't seen snow in years. Actually made me quite pleasantly homesick.

It is snowing! Our dog is also afraid of it or something. He went outside, stopped, looked confused, then started barking at the snow and when it kept snowing he went to sit by the door. I am enjoying this far more than he is. It reminds me of the many times we went dancing in the show in Russia.

I feel odd saying this but this is the first time I've seen actual snow. We didn't get much of it growing up in Hawaii. I still had to find a way into work though.

Okay, that star thing? It's kind of stupid, it's kind of selfish, and it's really childish, but...I tried that wish thing anyway. I mean, Hell, it even snowed, and I have everything MAJOR that I really want or need, even things I didn't know I wanted or needed til I had them, so...I took a chance on something dumb. It's kind of nice to think it MIGHT come true.

Also, MotherFUCK, I forgot I had more shopping to do. What do you get the guy who has everything? I mean, I can't just glue macaroni to a cardboard frame and throw glitter on that shit anymore. It's cute when you're actually little but...

Everybody else I haven't covered, at least I've got ideas. A couple might be kind of not appropriate when I think about them while completely sober and not on some form of medication but...

I'll figure it out. And if I don't get mauled, and/or we don't die on Friday, it'll all be awesome, right?

IT'S SNOWING!!! Not that you need me to point that out... Mum thought I was delusional when I said it was snowing outside. I kind of thought I was too. And people say wishing on stars doesn't work!

My Christmas is complete now that it's snowing.

Snow.

I can't quite recall the last time I saw snow. It was lovely then and even more so now. Perhaps it even adds just a little more cheer to a world that needs it.
