Summer session's started at the Frost Academy, and we'll be offering our usual programs this year. Last year we did quite well with the community's children, tutoring them and preparing them for the coming school year. I've added piano and violin lessons thanks to our talented musical staff, and we'll be doing a summer gymnastics session as well.

These classes and sessions are far less expensive than a regular term, but will keep a bored child busy and their minds engaged during the next few months. You're all quite welcome to check our website and enroll, darlings.

In more personal news that I can't believe I'm discussing with the world at large - Do we get the abilities we dream about, then? I do read a great deal on here about ridiculously impossible things like magic and vampirism and super hero powers. Barring mass hysteria, you can't all be insane.

Sometimes I wonder about the people in our Dreams that haven't shown up yet. In my Dreams, I lead a group of rebels against an evil incantatrix named Mater Motley who wants to destroy every World she's ever heard of. She wants to bring eternal Midnight and let creatures loose to eat the stars and moon and sun. I helped the rebels by making a huge ship with magic, and we fell over the edge of the world we were in, into another one.

I worry. I worry what happened. Sometimes I wonder if this is the world I fell into. maybe I did something, I don't know, my Dreams are strange I just ... I was helping wage war. Now that I'm gone, I'm sure they're fine without me, but it doesn't seem right that I be here, without them.

I'm just weird, I shouldn't think so much. I have an amazing husband (who's quite possibly the most amazing man I've ever met in this world or any other Dream world) and the world's best dog. (Ruby's adorable.)

Maybe I should just get out more.

I've delayed overly much in joining this network, but with my retirement from the NFL being official, I've much time on my hands. What does everyone like to do to enjoy themselves? Miss Siri has many recommendations but I like to hear from real people, as well.

I feel I should loathe this network, but, in truth, I find it cathartic. The thought that someone might be listening without complaint is alarmingly comforting, in a sense. Who would have thought.

My mood has at least taken a turn from anger to what I've decided is nostalgia. It's funny how these dreams have brought some of the pleasant, real memories I have of my brother and I. I'd forgotten times like that even existed, but there you have it.

I suppose I miss him, fool that he is. But I wouldn't take those words too seriously, most likely their brought on by a lack of sleep and nothing more.

Spring is a really busy time at the Ranch. Not only do we grow a lot of the crops that are used to feed the kids here, but we've also got baby livestock everywhere and now we've even got a baby Eopie to play with.

Remission came right on time, when you think about it. I've had about a month to recover some strength and some weight and I feel like I'm really ready to handle all of this. I just wish I could shake these feelings of foreboding I keep having.

If anybody's curious, the half-inch of hair that's grown back is coming in a sort of mahogany brown instead of black. There's auburn highlights when the sun hits it certain ways.

Sometimes I wonder if it's better that I'm the only one from my dreams that's here. Nobody's died for me while I'm awake. That's a good thing. In my dreams, there were so many.

I don't like to ask favors of people, but I have no choice at the moment.

Last night, there was a small fire at my bookshop.

I say small in the sense that it didn't ruin the structure. Only my back room was destroyed. The place where my experiments were. The fire marshal couldn't tell whether it was a leak, or something more sinister. I also choose not to think about it, because the idea of someone setting fire to my bookshop deliberately - with all that ancient knowledge, and the paper and other flammables present - makes me sick to my stomach.

That said, I did have insurance on the structure, so it should be able to be rebuilt. It's just a question of where I'm going to stay in the meantime. Would it be possible for me to sleep on someone's couch for the next week or so?

Fuckin' Winnipeg. That whole like, messed up new kid in school and suddenly...suddenly you've got a dad when you hadn't ever had a dad before and that's not messed up at all and...

And it's basically what's going on here. Except I'm like sixteen and still in Winnipeg (though, get this, totally from Brandon, which is kinda hilarious,) and it's the middle of the school year and everything is so damn just messed up but it's like normal messed up shit.

And Steph isn't there. I mean, I kinda knew when all those weird pictures started showing up that she wasn't gonna be there but it's still kinda depressing to wake up and find out that the girl of your dreams isn't y'know in your dreams.

Fuck Winnipeg.

I was gonna resolve to be more humble, but I figure the wife will tell me that shit ain't gonna work out.

So my blood is gold.

No, I'm not kidding. I woke up this afternoon with a massive gash in my arm and blood everywhere, only it's not really blood, it's ichor. Essentially my blood is now gold.

Also I didn't know that injuries could carry over from the dreams. I mean, I've given birth in my dreams a few times but I've had no pain or marks or changes to my body. Maybe it has to do with the type of injury? I mean, I knew I was going to be stabbed, I did my research. But if I had known that it could do that I wouldn't have kept the nice sheets on the bed or at least I would have wrapped it up before hand or something.

I'm trying hard not to think about what the ichor means.

I'm through the worst part of quitting smoking, but I'm pretty tired of this oral fixation nonsense. I've destroyed a pen a day at work, gone through two packs of gum, and a bag of hard candy.

At least I stopped chewing my nails, but only because I painted them, and then I started chewing pens so I'm not sure I upgraded.

So I guess I should finally get on this thing. Stiles and Lydia have been bothering me for weeks about it, but I just haven't had time. I don't know what possessed me to get on now that school's starting up again, but here I am.

Speaking of school, does anyone have college applications coming up? Mine are a year away, thankfully, but my mom keeps telling me it's never too soon to start thinking about them. She wants me to get as far away from Santa Ana as I can, but I'm just hoping I can manage to get into UCI or something close to home.

I thought I was done with these damn dreams. I keep getting the same ones over and over again. It must be my mood, but goddamn I can't even get a break when I'm asleep. If I have to watch Providence blow up one more time I'm going to lose my shit
