I'd always heard about how people charge more when they hear the word "wedding", but I always thought that they were exaggerating the whole thing. I mean, I worked at my Mom's bakery through high school, and I work at one here. But I always felt that it was a fair price for what it was. And... honestly, Mom's going to make our cake, so we don't even have to worry about that part at all.

But we'd decided that our dog was going to be our ring bearer, and we'd been looking for a little dress for her to wear down the aisle, maybe that we could attach the rings to. And the quotes for it are more than our tuxedo rentals are going to be. Now, I know it's not for material because it's not like Zelda's a great dane. She's a pug. A tiny lapdog. One of our rabbits is bigger than she is.

And if I search for dresses at regular pet stores? They're not much more than her little hoodies and doggy sweaters are. And honestly, they don't look all that much different to me.

But somehow it just feels weirder to be someone buying his dog a random dress than a dress for a wedding. Like, who honestly puts their dog in formal wear just because?
