It took awhile but I finally managed to get a good grasp of Norse. Dream!me is clearly fluent, but I've been struggling with it.

I've enjoyed trying to read the original stories about myself, of course. And plenty revolve around the Gods, including my boss. It's been interesting, really.

It’s weird how big you think a country is when you live in the US. Especially when you live in such a huge state like California. I’m used to things in the same state being a long daytrip, and the thought of going to any other state? Clearly an overnight trip, if not a week long road trip. The idea of going on a drive from one side of the country to the other is insane to me. I mean, logically I know that France is a lot smaller than the states. But my mind still won’t let it compute.

At the same time, I wasn’t expecting Paris to be anywhere near as huge as it is, and I can’t wait to go home and show Dad and my grandparents all of the pictures that we’ve been taking here. We haven’t gotten to see any of Tama’s friends yet, but he did say he’d introduce me to a few of them on our trip.

I’m so glad that Nico gave me an open invitation to come over to eat with him and his boyfriend while classes are out. Campus is a ghost town, and I’m speaking from the experience of going with mom to see actual ghost towns… It’s nice just getting to talk to people over meals when there’s so few of us staying in the dorms right now.

But we’ve also been playing games when I come over most days. The other day we were playing a card game I’ve never heard of before, where you use cards to fill in the blanks for other cards? He bought a new pack for the cards they already had and told me to watch carefully before tossing it to his boyfriend.

Glitter. Everywhere. The entire foil package was full of glitter, the cards were coated with glitter. I think the bottom of my shoes still have a light dusting of glitter. I just wish we had a camera out, because the look on his face was hilarious. Completely makes up for Mario Cart.

I thought maybe my Dreams just wanted to torture me with that brief moment of seeing the monsters in my Dream and that's was it.

Nooooope, the damn monster showed back up again last night in my Dreams. So apparently it appears occasionally when the Christmas lights up in the house start flashing. I was ordered out of the house and instead of leaving I went and grabbed a bat and put some nails through it before running back in. I helped beat it into a bear trap and Jonathan set the son of a bitch on fire.

WHAT THE HELL IS GOING ON IN THIS TOWN.

At least Nancy and I got back together and I stopped being such a jerk - I bought Jonathan a new camera to replace the one I smashed.

Time jumps in Dreams are kinda crazy. I was just being elected Queen and now here I'm sitting with a war starting to brew. It reminds me a lot of the political climate we have in this world right now though. There's a Trade Federation that's have a trade route dispute with the Galactic Republic and they've decided my planet is the one they need to have a blockade around.

A lot of disagreements and then those jerks decided to invade my planet! They tried to kidnap me, but I had one of my handmaidens step in as a decoy queen before some Jedi Knights appeared to help us escape the planet. I'm currently still pretending to be just a handmaiden on this trip and it's definitely a motely crew. There's an adorable astromech called R2D2 and an odd Gungan called Jar Jar Binks and we're on our way to some planet called Tatooine.

Even in the Dreams I seem to be looking for ways to use magic to keep the party going when I’m drinking, if the gift I woke up to is any indication. Bambi - did you know we apparently used magic together to make a never-emptying flask? I woke up to it on my nightstand this morning and it was full already. You can’t ask me not to check when I wake up to something like that and despite how many sips I’ve taken it hasn’t gone down at all. I even shared some with my client, pouring it in her coffee during our meeting and still full. I haven’t gotten a lot of gifts from the Dreams but this one is definitely in my top 3.

Gerald of course is number one as he lays in my lap, apparently really enjoying getting his back rubbed.

I really wish all of the items that cross over from my dreams would be as small as the Powder was. Or at least not show up in the middle of my hallway so that I have to climb over them to get out of my bedroom first thing in the morning. Although he might have just ended up wandering down the hall and gotten stuck since there was no room to turn around, and he doesn’t seem to be the best at backing up… I just have to figure out what I’m going to do with a living sawhorse now. At least I don’t have to worry about what he eats - that’s some kind of plus in a pet right?

Vegas trip to look at property locations. During 4th of July. We must be really nuts.

Monday's are rough. So,if you had a rough start to your week take a look at a couple of safari live cams at various locations in Africa. The coolest thing about these is that you can sign up for notifications when animals appear.

These elephants were filmed hanging out and having a drink. And, come on, who doesn't like elephants?

Living on my own with Damian and without a chauffeur has highlighted a problem: Getting around is a lot harder than I expected! I need to learn how to drive, anyone know any good tutors? Recommend any good cars to start out with?
