Okay, I have to say that the fact they've mapped the genome of ancient Egyptians and got unexpected results is kind of blowing my mind right now. Apparently they were more closely related to people from the Near East, Anatolia and Eastern Mediterranean Europeans as opposed to modern Egyptians being more closely related to sub-Saharan populations. This kind of changes the history of that area and how ancient humans migrated around.
