It seems that I have been more absent than is usual, and I am sure that some have missed me. I have been so busy with work, this is one of the busiest times of the year, I am told. I have seen so many more people than normal. I had to set up a display, it was very involved. I have been so very tired. But I do not want you to worry, mes amis. All will be well soon.

What should a man do if he knows he doesn't deserve the life he's been given?

So, it just came to my attention today that the other day was National Spouse Day or something along those lines. Since I know now, I can't not make some sort of post about my husband. It's still a little strange, calling Alexander my husband, but I love saying it at the same time.

Obligatory Couple Picture )

This was one of the first pictures I sent my parents of us, hence the reason my eyes are glamoured instead of yellow. It's one of my favorites of us.

I think this would be a good place for anyone else who's married to talk about their spouse.

Well, it seems my dream self has taken to entertaining children with war stories. My nephew was quite delighted to hear about the time the Volstovic ambassador had some bad eel and threw up all over the Ke-Han warlord's favorite niece. He was also quite impatient about getting to the Dragon Corps. At least I seem to have pulled myself out of my never-ending pit of self-loathing. I was particularly tired of waking up feeling just as tired as I had when I went to sleep the night before.

Things I don't miss from my old apartment? Being able to turn up music as loud as I want without pissing off downstairs and upstairs guy. Until Athos gets tired of it anyway.

So after making a big deal about getting this jumbo elephant popsicle for my 'not actually my child' son, I guess we decided the next plan of action was melting down said popsicle and collecting the juice into jars. I don't know what we're going to do with that, but I'm sure there's a reason for it.

I am still pretty sure that this is the stupidest shit I have ever dreamt about. I'm not going to deny that it sounds like something I would do, but without all the pieces, I can't say for sure that it's something I would do. Would have done, really.

My mum has decided that she wants to help out with any baby showers I may have, which means none are going to take place until they come to visit. I also don't want to put up my parents in our place for a long period of time. Although, I guess they could stay with my Aunt and everything would be fine because my mum will just end up breathing down my neck the whole time.

I can't believe January is almost over. March can't come soon enough. I'm also getting real sick of the lack of sleep I'm getting - this child is a tiny gymnast.

I'm so glad the weather is finally nice again. It was so much fun to go out and ride Maximus today! Even Pascal came along for a ride even though I think he tries to act like he dislikes Maximus. It was a really good distraction from actual school work.

I think I'm going to head over to the Orange County Museum of Art on Friday for their Pop Art Design exhibit. It's free on Fridays and it looks like a really neat exhibit.

2016 was a year where all anyone wanted to talk about were the people dying. 2017 seems to be starting off to prove Murphy's Law exists to mess with any plans I try to make.

I feel like now's a good time to drink through the rest of the month.

Start over fresh in February, right?
