It's been so hard pretending to be normal the last few days, like I didn't somehow manage to forget my past. It was so nice but now I'm just a mess

I have finally escaped my mother's clutches now that she trusts all of the drunk NYE partiers are off the road. Never accept a party invite from my mother, for reference, all she does is talk about all of the embarrassing things I did as a kid and cut me off after two glasses of champagne so I can't even pretend that it's not happening. The food almost made it worth it, though.

I have arrived from Hawaii, where the beaches are much better. But I enjoy the Mexican influence here much more. I work in both security and interior design - did you know that jewel tones and boho accents look to dominate in 2017?

Rocco's back in town. Trying to get caught up on shit that I missed. Introducing myself to folks that don't know me. Trying to find my best friend that doesn't answer his text messages anymore apparently, but it's cool. It's cool. We'll catch up eventually and then he'll get it.

So Gabe and I are now engaged!

Since I've kind of gotten used to saying it I figured I might as well announce it here too but he proposed between Christmas and New Year and obviously I said yes.

It's all new and we haven't talked much about when or where or details but I cannot stop grinning, which is sometimes awkward in the ER ;)

Can anybody recommend any good dog training classes around? I think this would be a good time for Valkyrie to start attending them.

Dreamed about dying last night. I guess that's the downside to dreams repeating. I did the only thing I could think of to do - Cycled like my life depended on it. My legs feel like jello, now, but I feel a lot better. There's something to be said about physical exertion. It's too bad it can't make bad dreams go away permanently.

There are whispers about the Anaheim Ballet's spring production! I'm so excited. It sounds like it's down to either Romeo and Juliet or A Midsummer Night's Dream. Both are so beautiful! Obviously I have hopes to dance in both of them. Dancing in Swan Lake was so rewarding. It was my first professional production and I personally think I rocked it. Who knows? Maybe I can do well in the next one, too!
