I remember 2016 like it was yesterday.

And once I'm done drinking I won't remember it at all!

Happy New Year! Are there any resolutions out there that I should avoid?

I was once told New Years is the only acceptable time to wear body glitter without being mistaken for a stripper.

I'd like to dispute that. Body glitter is acceptable any time of year.

I really sort of loathe those nights where you just receive a whole dump of dreams in the few hours of sleep you get - from stabbing Jekyll/Hyde to death, to battling a Kraken, to meeting my half-brother (I think I prefer having a sister here in this other hellhole) and then dealing with an Evil Queen and her cleavage, it was certainly a whole bunch of madness typical to good old Storybrooke.

But my four-month-old slept through the night, a good thing, and I went out to a New Years party and came back engaged. So all in all a successful start to 2017, I'd say.

Engagement party details forthcoming, now that the weather seems to be shifting and it's not too bloody cold to host something on the Roger. Perhaps I ought to give official tours or offer pirate adventures or some such, yet I can't help but be protective of the lovely girl.

New year, new set of dreams which admittedly is not all that surprising since I came back. I must say though, Armand will never let me hear the end of it if he were to learn he's the older sibling in this set, or that he sent me to a convent for schooling.

Though meeting Thomas Jefferson in the dreams will make conversations interesting given the mythos around him here.

Here's hoping that 2017 will be better than 2016. I can't lose anyone else. My resolution is to try and remain positive all year.

Last night was an amazing night - made all the better for seeing my talented boyfriend and his band play.

I'm so lucky to have spent the last hours of 2016 with the best people ever. Especially my Simon and Clary - we're such a hot bunch of dorks ;)

I've a road map for Future Industries for this year that's very ambitious. If we get even half of it done I'll be happy. We're going to reach for the stars!

Bo

I want to do a shoot soon, can you clear the time?

Kit

Did you enjoy the fireworks last night? ;)

The people at the Anaheim Ballet can throw a bash! Last night was so much fun! There was singing, there was dancing, there was champagne. All of the ingredients for a successful NYE party!

Back home I'm sure my parents were weepy over their football team losing miserably. I didn't feel the loss as much since I've distanced myself a little from the world of Ohio sports, but there were probably tears in the Giry household. My NYE was much better than my parents'.

I've finally overcome my New Year's Eve hangover. Hallelujah. I don't usually party myself into a stupor, but 2016 was brutal and 2017's birth needed celebrating. I don't think anyone on here will argue against that. There were some bright spots, of course. Beautiful bright spots. I suppose that's the key to surviving any year, though, isn't it? Finding the silver lining. What good things happened to all of you last year? Alternatively, what are you looking forward to this year?

For my New Year's Day dinner, I successfully executed my dad's cabbage roll recipe! Very proud of myself for that. Ginger seems to like it just fine. Yes, I may have fed my cat something from the table. Just a tiny bit.

This year, I'm not making any resolutions. Well, except for one. I want to be a good pet parent. She's kind of bitchy, but I'm determined to get belly scratching privileges from her.

I am so incredibly grateful to... I don't know, a higher power? Fate? Whoever. I'm just happy that I had someone to ring in the new year with last night. Before the holidays I'd been really alone and now I'm not and I feel like shouting from the rooftops how happy I am! 2017 will be a great year. I can feel it.

I hope you're all doing okay. In fact, if there's anything I can do to help you out let me know.
