At least someone in my house is enjoying all this snow - we can't even open the door with the dog running out to play in it. Which wouldn't be so bad if it weren't for the fact that his fur gets soaked through and he hates when we try to dry him off so he ends up shivering and then he wants to lay where it's warmest only to do it all over again next time the door opens.

Well, my sister's off on her Honeymoon now. Thank goodness.

Does Does anyone know how an eighteen inch Nutcracker can come to life and attack with a tiny, toy rifle? I was in the kitchen, so I grabbed a knife and... This is just insane. This is completely insane.

This is what I do when I'm stuck inside because of the snow. I bake. (Seriously? Snow? C'mon.) Ben's been out playing in it, but I let Merlin handle that. Maybe it's the Southern Belle buried deep inside, but I'm not all that fond of the snow.

I'm making Snowball Christmas Cookies. A little late for Christmas, I know, but the snow part is fitting? We'll have them on special at Baxter Bakery, along with all kinds of Hot Chocolate (try it with Sparkling Milk!) to help fend off the cold.

Reports are coming in about Christmas Decorations attacking their owners. If this is happening in your home, please contact the Agency. We will do our best to help you with your situation.

I boxed everything up the first mention of it and put all our decorations up into the crawl space. With the boxes thoroughly duct-taped shut. So far we haven't had any problems. This may work for other people, too.

So this is a little late, but I hope that everyone had a good Christmas. I enjoyed mine here in Texas with my family, but I'm ready to get home. They're projecting that I should be able to fly back by tomorrow but I'm not holding my breath. Thanks OC for making my travel plans difficult.

Hello, I'm Evie Frye, new here and confused by the snow? I did not expect this amount of snow upon moving here. Is this normal? Though I suppose this is proof that climate change is real that can be shoved in the faces of those who don't believe in it.

It feels so weird to think that tonight was my last night working at Taste of Home and that I'll be starting college next year. Seems like a lot's changed in the past few years for me since finding out who my biological parents were. Some of it bad but most of it good. I'm kind of excited to see what else the future hold for me.
