My roommate is having a party tomorrow night, but I'm not really friends with her friends, so I think I might go home for the next couple of days. I feel kind of lame, not having anything to do tomorrow night, which means I'll probably just be hanging out with my parents or watching movies till midnight.

What is there to do for New Year's? I've managed to get the night off.

The phrase "look for the door with the red light" should never be used in giving directions to my parents house. I have no clue what the hell my brother was thinking telling people that.

Bran and I decided to throw a party tonight at our place. Feel free to come by. We'll have food and maybe drinks. Not sure if my fake ID from when I was dating Alyssa will actually work. Worked a few times, but it's really not very good. So, we'll see.

This is really ridiculous. I'm acting like I've never had a gig before I think I might finally have decided on the songs I want to play tonight. I've only been driving everyone in my house nuts for the past two weeks over it.

If you're coming to Ciao Bella! tonight and are planning to drink, please take a cab home. Tonight is a vicious night to be out and about.

Giving my son a dog for Christmas wasn't as bad an idea as I thought it was going to be. He really was serious when he told me that he'd take care of the dog and I wouldn't need to worry about it. I think I've had to take her out one time since Christmas morning which isn't all that bad.

I managed to find a babysitter for tonight so I'll be there but the kids won't. I need a night off I just think Judith's too young still and I'm worried about how she'll take to a stranger without her brother there.

I can't be the only one too lame to have New Year's plans, right?

Watching Dick Clark's New Years Rockin' Eve almost makes me wish I was in the city for New Years. Then I see everyone jam packed liked sardines at Times Square in twenty degree weather and realize, nah, I'm good right here in my warm apartment with a six pack, my dog, and a big screen TV.

I kept looking out the window and seeing people gallivanting about in the snow and thought -- well might as well, I suppose. It looked like fun, anyway, and the fresh air could do me some good.

Not so. I was outside for around a half hour before I decided I'd had quite enough of this 'fresh winter air' business. Perhaps I didn't bundle up enough, or perhaps my circulation is poor and I get cold easily (which is true), but it didn't suit me at all.

I did, however, manage to build a very small snowman on my front stoop before I had to retreat to indoors and tea.
