I started wrapping today and got a ton of it done. I'm feeling rather accomplished.

Speaking of Christmas...Elena, Kat will you be joining us Christmas morning at all?

This has been a surprisingly busy last few weeks at work. I haven't got much done on my dream car. A little snow and no one knows how to drive.

I am 1000% certain that what I am about to say counts as blasphemy, but if there's one thing I love about being Catholic it's the days off for days of obligation and feasts. That being said, I feel like I'm due for a good mass. I think I need that feeling of God's presence lately. Also, that means today I can finally find time to get the house decorated, even if we won't be here for Christmas.

I thought it was supposed to be sunny in California. Especially southern California. Palo Alto never had snow like this. Glad I kept my warm coat.

So, I need to find a lawyer. I think. Or at least someone who can understand all this legalspeak. Maybe someone who knows something about patents? Or applying for them, anyway? I got all the paperwork I need? I think? I just need help deciphering it to make sure I've got all my t's crossed and i's dotted.

Someone decided it would be a great idea to play Christmas music all day long at the gym today. I have to admit it was actually kind of hilarious. How often do you get to punch someone while "Jingle Bells" plays in the background? It did throw off my concentration though because you suddenly want to start singing along to it. Okay, I'll admit it, I did sing along as I was hitting the dummy. One way to get out the holiday stress.

I mean...not too stressful. Just gotta figure out all the flights and arrangements to go home to see my mother. Joy. Maybe I'll spend most of it with Lissa's family instead. Anything would be better than my mother. I bet she doesn't even have a tree up.

I forgot how the whole 'drinking and breaking bars' thing can be therapeutic. Especially when the place is owned by someone you used to know and they feed you some bullcrap info to piss you off. Then they're surprised when I break their things and face. Arrest me, world, I don't care right now.

Man, people are making me testy lately. I feel better, since we're in a motel with actual running hot water and my Chinese food is floating in the tub.

No, seriously, the stuff floats and I'm multi-tasking. ( Proof )

So, on my way home from school today, I slipped on some ice like a block away from the house and somehow managed to twist my ankle. I'm obviously not used to walking on ice. I've had it elevated with an ice pack most of the afternoon, which makes it difficult to do quite a few things. I'm hoping the swelling goes down by tomorrow, so I can go to school and won't have to go to the hospital.

Who wants to help me with Christmas lights? I'll make you dinner as an incentive.
