For some reason I'm oddly looking forward to Thanksgiving this year, maybe it's the small break from grad school I'll be getting?

We are in desperate need of a babysitter the Saturday after Thanksgiving.

The twins are harder than sitting a pet rock, but easier to watch than a litter of puppies. Like, a large litter of puppies.

I've got my turkey ready for next week, as well as a ton of sides. I look forward to cooking again although I wish we had more people to come over. Oh well. On top of cooking I do have a barn full of horses to care for and some other animals, so I suppose only a small group coming over isn't bad - I don't have time to have the house look sparkling for visitors.


What are other peoples' plans?

Everyone around these parts seems to mention having strange dreams. I did not think I would end up among them. Maybe I should be used to odd and frightening dreams about my parents, but this is all surreal.

I guess it's normal, though?

If any of my friends don't have anywhere to go on Thanksgiving I'm hosting dinner at a Taste of Home - just let me know how many are coming so I cook enough. There will be vegetarian options, too. I'm looking forward to it even if I'm just cooking for me and the two others I know are coming.

I think Thanksgiving might be my favorite holiday of the year. I get to make a lot of really delicious food. I hope everyone has plans for the holiday.
