I suppose it's time I enter the age of technology. I finally caved and got myself a shiny new smartphone. It was hard to retire my flip phone though. That thing has been through everything. This will just be much easier to check email more often.

I'm rambling. Anyway I'm Emma.

You know, when they said it'll take two weeks to get me internet at the barn, they weren't kidding. Slowpokes, good lord. Okay, okay, so they had to run lines out to the house first, and I didn't exactly put the cabin in a close to the road location so that was probably my bad. Anyways, I was chatting with some people at a coffee shop and they told me to join this place when I got online.

I'm Jo, Jo Harvelle, and I teach riding, and compete in the rodeos, and if anyone needs a trainer lemme know I'm always looking for more places to teach or break horses. Since right now my barn is a grand two stall deal I threw up right quick on my own.

Also anyone know a good contractor? Mine seems to have decided I wasn't worth the effort.

Any game where the point is to fuck over everyone else playing is my kind of game.

More dreams. I have my cat in the dreams at least. Isn't it weird when you wake from a dream, and you miss your friends there? Even though you don't know them in this world?

I had several last night.

Joanna is going to spend August with her mother. So I'll childless for four weeks. Looking forward to having a bit of freedom. And for Joanna to get to spend some time with her mother. She's been chattering nonstop about all the friends she's going to see and things she's going to do when she gets there.

Is it too early to start drinking?

So I dreamed I met the Avatar, which is kind of like meeting a really famous person you've only ever heard about who controls all four elements and is responsible for keeping the world in balance. But she's this punky teenager a little younger than yourself and your boyfriend has the hots for her.

This afternoon, my coffee came with a phone number scrawled beneath my name. It wasn't my number, but it took me a full minute to realize it belonged to the barista. And it took me another full minute to realize why. I'm getting old. My birthday is coming up, actually.

Needless to say, I didn't take her up on it, but I told her I was flattered. Why am I writing about this? I suppose I was surprised, that's all. She had to be in her early twenties. But I think that when you lose someone, it comes as a shock when little things remind you that you are still alive. But on some level, it made my day. I think that's good.

So should I be worried about my team or is it normal for people to give names to their laptops, phones and other electronic items? Because it's rather amusing to listen to them.

Is it just me or did the costumes from the 90s Ninja Turtles movies look better than the CGI in the new one?
