My cat is extremely odd sometimes. The last two times I've done laundry, he has sat in front of the washer, simply watching the clothes spin around. He has sat there the entire time. He's never done this before, so it's rather amusing. I'm curious, what is the most amusing thing anyone else's cat or dog has done?

I also realized that in a lot of my posts, I've mentioned my cat or Caspian. I think we need to start getting out more.

I'm pretty sure that's cheating, but I may or may not have bought a few boxes anyway.

... okay twelve. I bought twelve. But it's for a good cause!

Well day one was fun. LONG flights are AWFUL.

Day two was.... well, we got lost, things didn't work, Lara killed a panther, bugs are everywhere, and now ah wish ah had some of my dreams' powers on call, cause ah feel hulk-smashing a few thousand bugs would be kinda fun. Or hulk-smashing a few hungry large cats would be less stressful than having to tussle with it. But whatever.

Day three seems to be going better, though, although not on the bug front. Ah'm glad ah'm up to date on vaccines. Ah did forget to ask about malaria, though, is that a thing here? Oh well. Here's hoping things go better today. Toes crossed. Did ah mention it's muggier than a Louisiana bayou mid-summer? Might follow Renji's idea and slap some mud on, although he sorta just hopped in a puddle... ah don't even. Whatever. It worked.

Ah'm beginning to have a vengeance war out on mosquitoes.

Sam, please thank your seamstress for me, these gloves are amazing, dirt just washes right off and while it's not cooler, they're certainly protecting me from sunburn and more bug bites than absolutely necessary.

Spring break has been nice. My roomie went away for the week, so I've had a weed free room the last few days. Ya know, if I didn't know any better, I'd think all my dreams were a result if a contact high. But then I don't know how Annabeth would explain hers.

Speaking of Annabeth, we still have a few days left of spring break and are trying to figure out what we should do. Anyone have any suggestions?

Always a good feeling to come back to California. It's an even better feeling knowing I'll be sticking around a while, I'm pretty tired of slushing around through the weather back east.

But, hey, I should introduce myself! I'm Michael. I host a show on SyFy (The Geek Interpreter) and we've decided to relocate over here for the foreseeable future. With WonderCon nearby and SDCC just around the corner it's a good time to come out. (Not to mention all the AMAZING movies coming out this year.)

So, yeah, this is me. Looking forward to it.

Whyyyyyy did I stay up binge watching Doctor Who?

The teacher I was TAing under had a family crisis and had to leave. Most of my college courses are at night so I'm free and they're having me sub in for two weeks while they find a replacement but that means I'm going to get no sleep.

They're just kids. I'll survive this, right?

So, I'm finally back from visiting my family. Didn't think that it would take this long...but things kept coming up.

I keep thinking about where I’d be if I hadn’t left Chicago. You know, the kind of thoughts that keep you up at night wondering if you did the right thing. I’ve decided it doesn’t really suit me.

I could use a drink. Who's coming with?

The news these days is so unsettling. Positively dreadful. Couldn’t we all use a distraction? Tell me a story, doves. Something exciting!
