Jason said that I needed to take a break from all of my work and suggested I check this out. I admit I can see the appeal of it but I'll refrain from making a final decision on it until I'm more used to it.

This is entering into that mystical category of ariing other people's personal problems online because I've honestly got no idea what to do to help some of them out and I dunno, I appreciate a lot of perspectives to keep me fresh or whatever you want to call it, so...We'll go with that.

There's a friend of mine from the pre-med days, Geoff. We still keep in touch despite the fact he's out in fuck knows where, doing fuck knows what now, and anyway, that doesn't really matter. What matters is, he's establishing himself in a new town, meeting the people and digging himself out of a rut, and he's made a lot of amazing friends and likes being around them when he's not working.

But, the thing is, my friend, Geoff, has started to get the idea that some of his friends are kind of leading him places he's not really sure he wants to be going. Don't get me wrong, he thinks they're amazing, even if he doesn't get their obsession with ponies fucking, but he's just a little worried about, you know, participating in some of the antics. Since it can get everybody into more trouble, and all.

And, well, he's like me, he's a doctor and all, and older than the ringleader of the little antics, bless his heart, and isn't sure if he should be playing along because his job is kind of high stress, or if he ought to try controlling his friends or what.

And there's this amazing girl that my friend's met, and he's been getting the idea she wouldn't really approve of all of this....carousing that's going around and...

Anyway. My friend doesn't want to lose any of his friends, but he doesn't want to end up with them cut open on his ER table, or the side of a ditch either. Or to be there with them.

So, uh, what do I tell the guy?

Maybe the one that helped me with the ducks?

I have all of this software in my computer that's supposed to help me run the Ranch, and I'm looking for someone to help me figure it out.

I don't really trust the kids anymore, since ... well... ducks.

Also they put porn on my computer.

I'd like to get rid of the porn on my computer but when I tried to do that it multiplied.

It's not that I don't like porn, mind you, just I'm old fashioned and it doesn't belong on my ... whatsit. Hard drive. That's what magazines are for.

I'm willing to pay for lessons to make me look like less of an idiot when I try to text message people too.

Okay so quadpower wanted me to get on this net thingy so I had to go into a great buy or something, it had a big tag for a sign. But they wanted to sell me all kinds of stuff. I just needed something small with a connection but they kept shoving these huge things in my face! And then accessories! I'm not a Luddite, I know how to use a computer, I went to school. I just didn't want some monstrous behemoth that consumed lots of power.

I finally got what I wanted and I only turned it on just now because I had to paint on the lid and wait for it to dry. So I planted some new plants in the garden while it dried. But its dry now!

Speaking of bars, why do the good fights always happen on the nights I'm not there? Varric, how many times have I told you to call me. Could have saved you on property damage.

Say you have a friend who's extremely well groomed.

He likes a lot of plants, keeps his place really clean, drives a hybrid car, and has fruit and yogurt in his fridge.

You're pretty much assuming that friend likes guys, aren't you?

I mean would you tell that guy, "I think you like guys", or would you just never say anything?

Here, have cats! I made a table or something, okay I stole the code from somewhere and fiddled with it forever and then I had to figure out how to make the pictures smaller. Well before that I had to figure out how to get the pictures from the picture stick into the computer but...

If a girl shows up at a party that she knows will have lots of single men, in a skimpy dress, with sparkly green underwear on, in the hopes she gets to strip and show it off... does that make her a slut?

Does it make her more of a slut if she does, in fact, strip? What about if she kisses another girl for fun, or suggests a man sandwich and/or orgy?

Or does that just make her the girl at the party that you wish was always at your parties, because she's so much fun?

And if a girl likes changing sexual partners as often as she changes her underwear, does that make her a whore, or what?

The lines are a bit blurry in my friend's life today, so I'm just wondering.

I've got this friend from school who met a girl who he thinks is kind of awesome. But he's got a really shitty homelife and he doesn't really want her to know about it, or about what a loser he is right now. He's kind of decided not to say anything and just pretend it's all normal. Good idea? Bad idea? Just wondering.

What would you do if you knew somebody who pretty much was doing something completely unethical that involved contract breaking for a really really good moral reason? I mean the contract won't be violated for all that long, really. Just long enough. And is it okay to lie about how part of the contract got broken? Ever?

What if this person is uh a classmate of yours at Wheaton? In your contract law class no less? Do you think they should fail the course or go in and argue with the landlord about the reasons the contract is wrong and make up technical leeways to get their way or...

I mean what would you do if someone's property that you were renting got wrecked because you were violating a contract, I guess, is what I'm asking? Is it ever okay to lie for a really good, really important human reason? Or does the law matter more? I'm confusing myself here.

...If you have a friend who failed a test becase of stupid reasons, would you think he was really stupid?

IS the friend actully as stupid as everybody said when he was younger? Is it something else/ I mean if he knows everything that was on the test but it took too long to do and was hard and speling counted but he knew it is he still an idiot or something else?

What would you have your friend do to feel better?

Not being at the hospital is going to be strange for me. I can't remember the last time I had a vacation. Actually I take that back. The last time I had a vacation was my honeymoon four years ago. I definitely earned one even if the workaholic in me is telling me it's not really a vacation. I'm still technically working, just different work.

Last night was probably our biggest gig yet. and that's only because it was St Patty's day and Thanks to everyone who came out to celebrate with us.
