For the next week, I'll be spending all my time at my own place for once (Rufus is on exams and it's boring to be there better if he's not distracted).

Please someone tell me that you want to come keep me company. I get so very lonely and sad on my own. :( I promise absolutely to make it worth your while.

Construction has started on my new shop. Or deconstruction, I guess I should say. They have to clear the lot completely. Take it down to the bare bones. It means it will be closed a lot longer than I had hoped, but at least the process is starting.

Now I just wait!

In the meantime, I am still doing commissions and still working on projects for anyone who wants to hire my services.

So, I've had an interesting couple of weeks. Very interesting. Awkward, happy, angry, irritable, focused, excited, disappointed... it's been a roller coaster of emotions. Very much looking forward to Friday, so I can go have a few drinks and possibly sing some karaoke.

I've done nothing today but sit at home, locked away in my piano room. Plunked out a melody that's been stirring in my head (since all these dreams started, I keep getting these odd rushes of inspiration).

It's not much, but I'm quite pleased with it, either way. Just a quick something-or-other I had to pen down.

I just dreamt about the most gorgeous man I've ever seen. The weird part was that I was seventeen. I don't really get that, but it was a really good dream anyway. Why does the alarm always have to interrupt the really good dreams?

Who would have thought that being awake could be more confusing than the dreams?

I hate my dreams. I hate how they're so similar to real life, and different at the same time.

I miss my mother more now than ever, after tonight... And I hate how that makes me feel weak. I wonder, a little, if she is really dead. Is that stupid?

Just had the weirdest dream. I was a kid, able to control earth, water and fire. For some reason, everyone was very interested in that.

I can't fucking believe this! Someone stole my ipod while I was out and of course no one is owning up to it. Not that I expected they would, and no one who runs this places can do anything about it. I thought I had it with me in my messenger bag, but I used it last night when I went to bed and left it on the bed. I wish staying in this stupid hostel wasn't my only option, but no one is going to rent a room to a sixteen year old.

It has been a very, very good week.

Oh my gosh, Unicorns are the most wonderful thing in the world. Now that I'm back in my own bed, I've been dreaming again. Unicorns, Prefect Duties, watching Ron Weasley play quidditch. That song's catchy, even if Draco was a douchebag in writing it. I helped, too. God, I'm such a bitch in my dreams. Wtf.

So ladies! I just wanted to let you all know that, earlier in the week, my girlfriend and I of a month or two just broke up. No big deal, just we're at two different places in our lives--I'm just obviously so much more mature, and ready for the big stage. She's still back in studies and worrying about colleges and stuff.

Well, it's sure not staying at MY place until I deliver it to its new human companion Christmas Eve, that's for DAMN sure. ...Should I even let the thing get near an impressionable five year old? Cause I'm thinking it's Stitch while Stitch was evil, and it's sure as Hell not gonna get UN evil when the batteries go in.

It's got a tail now. An honest to God moving tail. The display model at the store was on and running and chattering at me. I am horrified and think my daughter ought to just give in and let her get one of those huge hamster...lab rat... guinea pig things instead. You can trust a living creature.

But you damn well can't trust ANY Furby. When I've got the time, I'm re-opening the files from '98 and launching a new look inside.

More dreams last night. Filch is a squib, I know how to produce bluebell flames, Harry had his bones regrown overnight, Lockhart is a bit thick, and the plan to use Polyjuice potion... I know how that ends already. I'm glad the dream stopped when it did, I don't much fancy becoming a cat-girl again.

Has anyone dreamed the same dream more than once?

First week in a public High School, and it was a short week. But I learned some interesting things, mostly to do with teenage behavior. My Psychology degree is actually proving useful for once. I still think it is a pack dog mentality that rules the cliques.

The text books are all vastly out of date and many of the history lessons are lacking in context and heavily censored. I got into an argument with my history teacher on Wednesday over the lack of criticism of the side-effects of westward expansion.

And the science...the "science" they teach is a crime.

On a positive note, I made several friends, and Beth has shown me around.

I also am learning what words such as 'shiznet' mean.

Coffee shop's maker went down, so coffee was ten minutes late; which, added onto the fact my car kept over heating and I had to continue pulling over again and again, coupled even then with three hour traffic jams, is likely the reason I'll have an aneurism before I'm thirty. This is why I shouldn't drink coffee.

Anyone else dreaming about a crazy, space whale that refuses to eat children?

Yeah, you don't realize how bad space whale vomit smells until you get a little dunk in it.

Okay, okay, lesson learned. Anyone else feel like their dreams are tryin' ta teach 'em somethin'? All of my weird dreams seem to have a moral or somethin'... yannow?

Anyway, I got it. Last night I was tryin' ta harvest the whole orchard by myself--quite a feat. I wasn't able ta do it on my own. So, yeah. Askin' for help. Got it.

I didn't give it a thought before but we should have done a Thanksgiving flash mob. Maybe at Christmas time? What do you all say?

I know that there are quite a few people out there that are phone-savvy and enjoy playing games on them.

I have to express my deepest sadness that I have run out of Angry Birds to play. I have played all of the Angry Birds, now, even the ones in space, though I still am wondering how those pigs managed to get those eggs into space to begin with.

They do not seem very bright, you see. I am certain they would have broken all of the eggs on the way, and then the birds would have been quite saddened by this.

I am wondering if any of you could recommend a game for me to try next, that is as enjoyable as Angry Birds has been?

It would appear that some sort of incident happened at my tea house while I was away. Most of our teacups are broken, and while I am sure there is a perfectly reasonable explanation for why such a thing has come to pass, it will prevent the serving of tea for a few days.

We expect a new shipment of teacups in on Saturday.

I don't even get tea. How is this place even doing this much business? It can't be the little cakes he sells. I mean ... alright, the cakes are good, but no one goes to a boring old tea house for little cakes, yo. I could buy little cakes from the grocery store.

Mellow out by serving tea my ass. All that's happening here is a decreasing appreciation for the elderly and a growing desire to bust some teacups against the wall. Is it 5 o'clock yet?!

Listen, I'm hearing a lot of chatter. Shit is getting exceptionally real these days. Dreams are out of control, people are finding themselves able to do all kinds of stupid stuff that if you'd asked any of us six months ago was possible we would have laughed.

So I had an idea in between of all the sex I'm having. Most of our dreams are full of conflict. Death. Bad juju.
