I know I am going to catch grief for this but I am so tired of hearing about Jordyn Wieber. I mean go Team USA (because France will not medal in gymnastics) but I am going on a limb and rooting for the dark horse in Russia's Viktoria Komova who does beautiful gymnastics or even Gabrielle Douglas. Have to see how everyone looks in qualification as all the "big names" are up in the later rounds starting here in an hour.

I believe Archery and Swimming are also on our list of events to check out today. Not a bad last day in London.

Does anybody have an apartment they're trying to sublet for the summer, or anything? College kids going home for the summer, maybe? Preferably a place where the rent isn't crazy expensive? If Ventura had brought silver platters to last night's game they would have held our asses by the end of the night. Not only did they shut us out, but we let them have four damn goals. At least we've got two weeks to recover before our second game against Tucson.

Anyway, a mix of hangover with sore shins is not the best feeling in the morning to wake up to. I'm just glad I can head out to the beach with my chair and just sit and watch the ocean. I don't know how people that live too far inland survive without the wind and the waves to help them relax.

Wbat exactly happened to me Tuesday? I remember the caffeine, and I'd picked up extras like I usually do. But then I started hallucinating and my heart was racing and it HURT about a second,and then I woke up in an ambulance, with some dickhead shouting orders about what to do with me and how only family could hitch a ride with them. I GUESS someone was arguing with them about it, and there's about three guesses as to who that was. No seriously about three people from there would try.

And now I'm mostly stuck in a hospital bed, bored, and being told not to move around too much, and hooked up to this stupid monitor that beeps whenever I try to take it off. I also want this oxygen tube OUT of my nose, and the IV's out of my arm. I hate just about all these things, and that, for some reason, I can't access my remote connection to work via my tablet.

The nurses weren't even that happy about letting me post here. They said if I went to the valarnet, there were bound to be more strippers showing up, and that was bad for my heart. I'm going to be here at least a couple of days stabilizing.

Who'd have thought the thing that I love most could be so deadly?

So, I've sunk into the depths of despair depression a bad funk.

The concert went really well. A lot of people recognized me, which was weird at first, but then it was nice. I guess. I don't know. Maybe not. I feel like crap now. I mean, what happens next, you know?

In last night's dream, I shot a bunch of thugs from on top of a roof and then Oliver was by my side, saying how good I was and did I want to be his sidekick. He was dressed like Robin Hood again, which was pretty fucking hilarious, actually. And then he called me Speedy. I thought my name was Red Arrow in these dreams. I thought MIA was Speedy.

Today I can say I entertained the thought: How awesome would it be if this man hit me in the face? And meant it. It would have been awesome.

So then, boys and girls. It's just about time for things to get exciting.

Leaving aside the charity ball, we still have several auctions starting up, with the goal of fundraising to get our local athletes to London for the Olympics next month. They're leaving soon, so they'll have time to train at their various venues in advance, and that means that we need to step up our game in order to get them there.

I have six jackets, each of them very individualistic and one-of-a-kind, in sizes XS, S, M, L, XL, and 2X, all of which are dedicated to the dream of health and athleticism at every size, with a subtly Olympian motif. If you have questions, feel free to ask them, but the actual auction for them will end on Saturday night at the charity ball. If you absolutely must have one, please send me a private message with your maximum bid. I'll let you know if the ball's maximum bid at the silent auction is higher, so you'll have a chance to outmatch it, unless an assortment of people are all desperate for the same size, in which case... well, we'll see.

And, because I know well the power of the Internet to awe and amaze, I'm going to turn to you, boys and girls: Olympian athletes are not a corporation, and therefore sponsoring them to get to the Olympics can, and perhaps should, be crowdsourced. Nothing at all says that you can't donate $5 to help your favorite local athlete get a chance to shine. If a thousand people all donate whatever they have lying around in their PayPal accounts, I'm completely certain at least four teams would have their total expenses covered instantaneously.

The Ugly Cup is closing!

That's the little coffee shop I tend to do my notes at after hours. There isn't even a Starbucks or anything nearby. Shame so many little businesses can't make ends meet right now.

Today officially sucks.

I can't find my favorite earrings, my dog is going crazy after being penned up all night, my cats are all pissed at me, and the only thing in the mail was bills.

The lawnmower is broken and I can't get my weed-whacker to work, then I cut myself while trying to fix the damn thing.

I want a do-over.

Have to say, no matter how homesick I get the weather here really can bring me right back up again. Few clouds, little rain, and low humidity? Really liking that. And the beaches. And all the handsome available men walking around on the beaches.
