Niagra Falls on the Canadian side is very interesting, not that I've ever been to the New York side of things, but I don't expect they have carnival games and mad houses there. It kind of threw me off guard. It was fun though.

I took a super nice long nap after I got home today and then I slept too long, so now I'm going to be up all night.

My practice is re-opening on Monday and I'm going back to work. It's only part time at first, but it's a step in the right direction. I hope I haven't lost too many patients over all of this nasty business.

Also in a magical turn of events the insurance company finally finished their appraisal and I'm happy to say I'll be getting enough money back to buy a new place. It'll be something smaller and hopefully closer to work. I might even have a little money left over to get myself a new car since the old one was also destroyed in the fire.

So, all in all? Things are looking up and I'm fully recovered. physically anyway I really wasn't sure there for a while that this day would ever come.

I seem to have avoided the crazy this time around. It's a nice change.

The FBI let me keep most of the money that the man left for me which I thought was very generous of them. Heaven knows I need it what with my medical bills and the nurse coming to check up on me every day. The money from the fire insurance is getting caught up in court, of course, and I need to appear in front of a board next week to tell my side of the story. They don't want to pay out since it was arson and not accidental fire. If I don't get that money I don't know what I'm supposed to do. Maybe renting is in my future instead of owning.

You are looking at the new COO of Stark Industries. I had the papers signed and notarized today. It's kind of strange thinking I'm going to be leaving CHOC, but I really can't trust Tony to do it on his own and I think it's time I step away from the charity anyway. It practically runs itself and I'll still have a controlling interest in my baby.

I was supposed to be released from the hospital today, but then I realized I don't have a home to go to anymore. I don't have a husband either. My parents offered to move down here to take care of me and I know they want to be close to Turin and I, but they don't have the money to move despite their claims. I'll likely be going home with my brother tomorrow.

I don't know why I'm saying any of this. I guess I just needed someone to know.

I just got yelled at by HR for "going over the overtime limit". I need another distraction from this crazy shit that isn't work a hobby.

Fact: FBI briefings are twenty times more unbearable with a hangover.
