This whole story about the lion that was killed in Zimbabwe makes me utterly sick. Every time I see the story I'm reminded of Aslan. Not my cat, but lion Aslan in my dreams and my siblings and I are so close to Aslan in our dreams that I can't even imagine sometime happening to him. It makes me wonder what Narnia would be like if humans invaded and it was no longer left to the animals.

As a librarian assistant, you deal with the public. You deal with people not getting that you can't check out encyclopedias. You deal with students coming in wearing pajama pants or soaking wet bathingsuits. You sometimes have to explain to the same tenured middle aged professor that no, you really are not allowed to bring food in here, Sir. Yes, this was the same rule last week and the week before that. No Sir, it has not changed.

And you think that nothing surprises you anymore.

Today I had someone ask if they could return a book over the phone. Not renew it, but actually return it.

I think I found the moment I've lost all faith in humanity. Just let the dolphins have it.

Sad news about that girl, doin' what she could to save us all.

It's bad when we're sendin' the young to die for a cause. Not sure I always understand it, idea of sacrifice, but suppose it's not my place to.
