So. As I lost my memories for the past couple of weeks, I haven't had time to make a very important announcement. Nate and I are now the proud parents of twin terrors, William Garland and Ashley Jeanne Harvelle-Wuornos. They have got to be the most damned adorable babies I've ever seen. And they've both got quite the set of lungs on them. I love my family so much. I couldn't be happier.

So I'm just going to go ahead and throw this out there. If anybody finds themselves out and about, anywhere near the Roadhouse (that's [address] for those who don't know), and you need supplies or just a place to stay and rest for a while, feel free to stop on by. We've managed to keep the place invasion-free since this all started and I don't see that changing any time soon.

Also, if anybody's wanting to see a bit of action without putting themselves on the streets in the thick of things, just let me know. We've got folks posted on the roof and around the perimeter, on two hour shifts, as well as hot meals and a bed to lay your head when you need it.

Caden? What's the matter, sweetie?

[There's the sound of Caden's voice, coming through very rushed as he explains to his mother what happened.]

Caden, slow down. You said Daddy grabbed Auntie Claire and left with her?

[There's no sound, as Caden just nods his affirmation. Ruby curses lightly under breath, her tone growing serious.]

Caden, I want you to listen to me very carefully. I want you find Jack and Meri and come straight back to me. You guys can still play, but can only play where I can see you, okay? And no matter what, I don't want you guys going anywhere near the door, okay? I know being stuck inside isn't very much fun, but I promise we'll be able to go home soon, okay?

[Caden's voice comes over again, and Ruby's quiet for a second as she hugs her son.]

It's be okay. Soon we'll be able to go home, and we'll have french fries with Daddy. I promise.

Right then. I don't know my name or I'd introduce myself, but I do have a few things to say and I'd appreciate you all taking the time to listen up.

I think it's pretty safe to say that nobody knows who they are right now and that the only way any of us are figuring out where we are is by asking other folks who seem to at least know that much. So here's my question.

Does anybody out there know who anybody else might be?

And before you immediately answer with a definite 'no', do us all a favor and take a look around you. I mean really look. Is there anything that you see that might tell you something nobody else has covered yet? Are there pictures or anything of anybody else you've seen posting on this message board thing? Because I don't know about the rest of you, but I'm figuring in a situation like this, there's bound to be strength in numbers. So maybe if we all work together, we can figure a few things out and answer at least a couple of questions.

Come on now, if you think you might have something, speak on up. Don't be shy. Right now, I doubt there's any sort of info that's pointless what with none of us knowing jack squat about much of anything.

One more person comes into this bar and starts confessing things to me best kept to themselves and I'm liable to start shooting first and not even bothering with the questions later.

I'm not Dr. Phil and this isn't a damn therapy session. Which isn't to say I'm not all for having a heartfelt conversation, as it may be, with folks I know. But if I don't know somebody and they start telling me how their wife really did look fat in that dress she wore last week and how they'd really like to see me in it instead, I can't say I'll be responsible for my reaction and I'm not sure there's a jury around that's going to convict me for voicing my opinion on the matter, either.

Just a heads-up from within the CPD SWAT unit. If the precinct asks, I didn't share this, but we have to look out for each other here.

We've been told to step up arrest support training and be prepared to set up surveillance on certain high traffic locations-- the university, Harvelle's Roadhouse, Eden, and the Serpent's Den. These incidents aren't going unnoticed, but the focus of the training is weird. There's been emphasis on "safe removal of suspects from the area" and "non-lethal neutralization of alleged victims."

I'm too new at the moment to have leverage to form my own team. For future reference, I'd welcome any of you with certain special training and equipment who haven't had much official support in using it. We tend to have a different approach than the uniformed crowd, after all. It'd be nice to get paid for what we already do, and have the added resources of the police backing us. So, want a job where you're paid for the daily training and exercise you should do anyway? Let me know. When I'm past the stage of "judo throw your superior to remind him that you know what you're doing", I might be able to hire you on.

Time to put these boys through their laps. Of the city. "Little lady", oh really, am I? Wave if you see me running with some big burly crying babies!

Happy Mother's Day to all the moms out there. It takes a special person to be a mom, and it has nothing to do with giving birth. It has everything to do with loving and nurturing another person. I grew up without my mom, and I never really had a substitute until I met Ellen Harvelle. Now I'm a little older and I have a little one of my own, I understand how special mothers really are.
