It's a relief to see everything back to normal, or at least as normal as can be had here. Still, the past few weeks have made me miss home even more.

I've been here over a year now. I feel this requires celebrating. I said this before, I know, but given that I was eight years old when the actual anniversary happened, it's probably a good thing that I didn't drink all the vodka martinis in existence.
