Chuck you didn't manage to become re-deaded, did you? I had the worst sort of nightmare wherein you and Digby but mostly you managed to get touched again by me and then you were gone forever and when I went into your room to check you were either sleeping or re-deaded and I couldn't quite check since I can't touch you or it would come true and since then I've been sitting in my room.

Okay. I didn't want to post this right away because normally we don't tell innocents about the demons that are after them I wanted to be sure. However, it's obvious that this place is different than back home and I may not get the confirmation I need. So I'm just going to say it, and that way the information is out there and you all can make of it what you will.

Back home, there's a demon known as Barbas. He's the demon of fear and I believe he's the one that's behind everything that's going on. As I said, I'm not positive, but all signs so far point to him.

Now for what you need to know. As I said, Barbas is the demon of fear. He normally doesn't have a solid form, and typically can't be seen because of this. He has shown himself - I've seen him before and I know of a few others who have as well - but it isn't common. He also can't be killed by typical means. As far as we know, there are ways to weaken him and just one way to vanquish him entirely once he's weak enough.

Basically, folks, you're going to have to face your fears and overcome them. The more frightened you are, the more you believe the reality/hallucination/whatever you want to call it that he creates, the more power he has. The little voice you've been hearing whispering in the back of your mind during these times? That's him. You need to ignore that voice, face whatever fear it is that you have, and deal with it.

I know that's easier said than done. And it doesn't always work the way you want it to. However, he can kill people typically witches but that's back home and this is and he may come back after you. Especially if he thinks you're an easy target the first time around. If you face your fear and deal with it, though, you're helping to weaken him and the weaker he gets the easier it's going to be to get rid of him when the time comes.

As for ending him permanently... we're working on that. I'll keep you all posted.

I figured that everyone might want a distraction and what better distraction is there in any world than Quidditch .. which is why I just wanted to let everyone who was interested in playing Quidditch know that the brooms are ready to be used. Even if you don't want to play and just want flying lessons, that's alright too.

We don't have a set date yet but there'll be teams and I'll keep you posted.

There've been a lot of new arrivals, so I'll just catch you up. Merlin created the equipment for us and Willow charmed the brooms. I've got this list on who wants to play, and we're definitely going to have more than two teams. If you're new and you're interested, feel free to say so. And I'll tell you when flying lessons are going to be. As soon as I figure that out.

I don't mind libraries. I'm quite fond of them, in fact. What I do not like is suits of armour manhandling me! This is so incredibly not funny.

So, when your fiance arrives in the city, and he's fourteen, thirteen at the time, what do you do? Don't tell him, when he doesn't want to know his future. Fine, you can ignore it, as terrible as it is. But then your son shows up. From the future. Don't get me wrong, I basically can't wait to get old now, but then how do you hide that? You don't tell that fourteen year old, and let him remain oblivious to who the boys mother is, because he doesn't want to know. But then your daughter shows up. Brilliant. You have a daughter, which is, actually, amazing, expect now that fourteen year old boy who you've been working really hard on trying not to mentally break now knows that his best friends younger sister who is older than both of them here eventually grows up to marry him and have kids. And these kids are stuck with versions of their parents who would be rotten at being parents right now.

And the sad part about that is, it was bound to happen. A situation like that should never be bound to happen. This is why we don't get to play with time turners.
