There is a long moment of absolute dark and silence when the countdown clock hits zero. A few seconds later, the power is restored, all missing residents (both town and refugee) are returned to their homes, and a fireworks display begins.
Throughout the day, some folks will discover
gifts have been delivered either to their homes or somewhere nearby in town. In addition, a new business has opened in the Community Center called
Transportation Services.
A message is delivered to all phones and other network connected devices inviting residents to a formal affair at the Old Market on Main beginning at 7pm. They will find appropriate attire in their closets.
