We know that Davina Claire is living in your household and that you both retrieved her from the Town Council when she arrived. I need to know which of your names I should put on the paperwork as being her official guardian so the Town Council knows we're taking care of our own and they don't think about removing her and placing her with someone else. Part of our agreement with the Town Council was that we would be allowed to select among our own population for guardians for children, but we have to have all of the paperwork filled out and filed.

Klaus now had a teenage girl staying with him, add in now his brother and the wolf girl were here. He was going to have a full house. Really he should tell Marley what she was going to be living with at this point. Except he was unsure about that himself, maybe she would turn out to be a council spy. One sent to find out who he was, why else choose him over a woman no one uttered a unkind word about?

He would shake those thoughts off soon enough, after he got to know this teenage girl he was responsible for. If by responsible you meant she could come and go as she pleased, and if someone hurt he he'd hurt them. He was picking up some things she'd need, such as food and girly bathroom frills. Which simply meant he was tossing anything girly smelling into a basket. Yeah, that was Klaus, next time Marley would end up having to get her own stuff. At least he is not mortifying her by buying tampons or that other nonsense.

Klaus knew everyone from his world was against this arrangement. Yet he thought perhaps he could offer this girl some sort of protection, that and he'd be a bit of a more lenient guardian than those who are otherwise assigned. He heard too many horror stories as it were about those tasked with caring for the refugee children, and he really disliked that.

He arrived to meet Marley and escort her to her new home. He looked harmless at least, then again he had yet to tell her what he was. He was still debating that part, but then again if she chose to leave well, she would have other options.

Klaus, you can't be serious. Marley is just a kid! You can no more be her guardian than I can fly under my own power.

Ok, so I gave it a try, but my foster parents and I don't really see eye to eye on.. well, on anything. However, they did say that they wouldn't fight me if I found another guardian among our own group that would be suitable. I think the dad is kind of afraid that if he fights me on it, someone scarier than him will step in.

I'm fifteen, almost sixteen and attend the high school. I like to sing and I just won the female lead in the school musical, so I'll probably be at school rehearsals and practicing with the male lead a lot for the next little while. I can try to get a part time job if that would help.

And there's been a great deal of focus on our differences, the things we don't like about each other, the things we fear about each other and the council.

But what there hasn't been is much discussion about things we may have in common. Things we may have in common include missing people or things from back home. Here's my challenge to you: what do you miss most about home?

Have any of you seen Caroline or Lydia? They went out earlier and haven't come back and I've searched everywhere. Twice.

Elena, Anna, and I are leaving the apartments. We don't feel safe there anymore.

It pretty much goes without saying that most of us here don't trust this council. So we may need to be a bit creative in how we choose to deal with them.

Attention Refugees!

As many of you do not have Social Security Numbers, or other means of identification, we would like each of you to come by the Clerk's office and fill out some paper work. We will be taking fingerprints, a blood sample, pictures, and asking some information about you, to keep on record.

If you do not come to the Clerk's office and register, you will be unable to find employment in the town, as this information is now required for payroll.
