I still don't see the point of this Christmas Day.

When Wal-mart has to hire extra security at Christmas, something's wrong. And when that security ends up with a black eye and busted lip from getting an X-Box thrown at their head, something's really wrong.

Dammit, I should have broken both of their wrists.

So I don't fucking get it.

Football's supposed to be all about fighting to protect your quarterback so he can score, or fighting to take out the other guy's, right?

So what the hell do they penalize you for unnecessary roughness for? Roughness isn't unnecessary if it's what you've gotta do to win.

So how am I supposed to deal with this?

You encourage weakness in every possible way, you scorn strength, and you're constantly whining about stupid shit you can't control.

You don't train kids with civic duty worth a fuck,mand you fucking keep weapons away from them instead of training them to be lethal.

School.

It's not really so bad. Most of the other kids are scared of me so that's - well, Cato's right, most of them are weak and pathetic.

And I got a place on the girls' lacrosse team. If there was a girls' football team I'd be on that too but there's not. Apparently. Kind of annoying. Also apparently I need to tone down the aggression. I don't get it. I didn't even hit anyone.

But yeah. Not so bad.

We don't have Thanksgiving in Ireland, but the idea of it, I think, is grand. Giving thanks for the good things in your life, and realizing that wherever you are, you haven't gotten there alone.

Don't know if I like so much the part about the murder of the Indians and the racism and all that - actually, I'm pretty sure I don't - but I do like the idea of giving thanks.

I think we all have something we can give thanks for? No matter how terrible things are.

For me, despite it all, I've got my health, and I'm an Irishwoman. That's a good deal to be thankful for right there.

One Injured in Alley Blaze

MADISON - A man was taken to King's Daughters Hospital late last night having suffered moderate burns. He was caught up in a blaze that started in an alley off of Miller Street, and found unconscious by Kira Farley, a local business owner, who alerted the fire and ambulance services.

Preliminary reports indicate that the fire was probably started by a smouldering cigarette in a trash can. The injured man may have attempted to extinguish the fire alone, resulting in the burns to his arms and torso. Kira Farley was shocked by the scene, saying: "When I first saw him, I thought he was dead. It must have been the smoke...it was awful.'

The man, whose name has not yet been released, is in a stable condition and expected to make a good recovery. However, he has no memory of last night's events and cannot confirm the details of the fire or his involvement. Any witnesses with more information are urged to come forward.

Fuck this place and fuck giving me a guardian.

No one sees or hears what we see. But we see it and we understand. We are friends and we hear the rocks cry. We should sit beneath the stars and listen to them and to each other. We're a strange sort of family, but we are what the Capitol made us. Family should visit.

So, it's pretty obvious that a lot of us have wildly different opinions about what's appropriate to post on the network and what isn't. Obviously we can't please everyone, but maybe we could come to some sort of agreement on what should and shouldn't be posted on the network (at least without an Over 18 filter)?

I went to watch football practice today.

Are you sure it's a good idea? It's not exactly playing to my strengths, is it? They're all like twice my size.

So I'm going to ask people who have more experience of this time period and its...education system than I do.
