Been looking through my work's summer class offerings, the only summer language is French, which I took a lot of already in my life, so I think I'll take a fun one: Photography. Why not, right? And maybe Garden planning.

I have a talent that I don't talk about much here. The details aren't important but I should know by now to just trust it instead of ignoring it. Really, it's not like it's a new thing. Waking up to a small child sitting on your bed demanding breakfast when you don't have a child is better than coffee in how fast your brain jolts you to fully awake.

Teaching is great. Mostly. the random omens in class are annoying but they do apply to the students so there's that. I'm a little tired of grading papers (maybe I shouldn't give out so many writing assignments, there's a thought). It's only because I stare at them until my eyes swim.

I miss working at the law office with Gabriel. I miss Chicago and even Cainsville. But I will take the lack of weird things going on. At least the stuff that seems to happen here is not focused on me, so I'll take that in a heartbeat.

Sometimes I wonder what music I actually listened to at home. I think it fell somewhere between classic rock and classical. Which, is a weird mix, come to think of it. But I've recently discovered Tori Amos while hunting for a playlist to play while drawing up class syllabuses. Can I just say how much I love "Promise"? I wish I had someone in my life that that was true about.

I have one person back home I can honestly say fits into that mentality. And god help me, I miss him. I miss my cat. I miss the quaint and weird town of Cainsville. But, Madison Valley has given me a different perspective, too, just like Cainsville has. And I am so, so thankful. It's only sad that I cannot take the knowledge I have gained here home with me - It would help in so many ways.

I'm still a little off kilter, it's almost Christmas here, it wasn't anywhere near winter back home. I'm glad I no longer think I've been whisked off by the people back home, or that this is some seriously fucked up conspiracy.

I miss my cat. I didn't even want to own him but he picked me. And now he's not here. It feels.. weird. Who knew I'd miss TC. Is there a shelter here? I cannot believe I'm looking for a cat... I think I'd like the company.

Still trying to figure out my place in this strange anomaly of a town. What I do know? Retail was not that place.

I hope switching to security at the college will work out better for me. At least there are labs there I can use.

Alright - I'm no good sitting around and not doing anything - so since this network seems to be the way to go, I'll ask anyone reading this to let me know if there's a job here for someone who's worked with defense lawyers and investigation work. I am an awful waitress, so I'd like to do something in line with my skills.

This place is quaint, not quite like home, but it reminds me of Cainsville in some ways.

Well. Now that I've had an evening to digest this abrupt change of arrival (and, season I suppose), I ought to introduce myself. I am Olivia Taylor-Jones, and while I do adore an adrenaline rush, and this truly does count as one, I'd like to return to what I was doing.

Gossip of the week? OMG!? I heard it through the grapevine? Loose lips?

Yeah still can't come up with a good name for this thing.

The whole town seems to be on on some sort of drugs. I mean raccoons stealing your food to wash it? Geometric shapes? What's next dreaming about being fed by a bird stuffing a worm down your throat?

This just in someone has more time on their hands than I do. Oh the humanity, make it stop!

People come and go and it sucks that it's all outside anyone's control. This is all.

Warning. There may be an outbreak of gothic Christmas decorations which actually could look pretty cool. I say go for it.

I can't actually report on this on pain of ugly things happening to me but go say a belated birthday to a beautiful lady.

Someone is doing some FABULOUS decorating. Gotta love a color scheme.

Um...I might actually have to go excuse myself after reading this history lesson.
