My job is seriously one of my favorite things. I get to really work with wonderful flowers and plants, but I've gotten to do some fun centerpieces for people for Halloween. It is really one of the best parts of my day. I am grateful that the plants and I have a good understanding, and I really have some that are enjoying the thought of being used for something so cute.

We've almost made it through winter! But the time change is seriously messing with me. Part of me thinks it's just living in a place with no windows but no, I think I'm early when I'm not and I can't get to sleep and it's weird and I don't like it.

I'm just going to live off of coffee this week. That'll help. Maybe?

I just wanted to take a moment to thank everyone who helped out with the toy drive and dinner service last night. Between the donations from everyone in the city and the funds from the Festival, I think we made a lot of people have a much better holiday.

Now everyone have a really great Christmas and we'll plan something awesome for 2020!

So we've been doing a lot of this behind the scenes BUT! We finally definitely know the next project the as yet unnamed (I should work on that!) foundation is going to help with is.

We're having a toy drive and a holiday meal for the people at the youth shelter! So the kids will all have something to open. Every kid should get something fun for Christmas. If you want to help, we have donation boxes in a few shops around town or you can let me know either Pepper or I can come pick it up. Any new, unwrapped toy will work! All ages accepted, honestly, if you want to add some stuff for teens, they'll be appreciative too, I bet.

Then Christmas Eve we'll hand out gifts and have a special holiday dinner for them! I could use a few people to help serve and I could maybe use one of my Santas for a few hours? Or a new one! Whatever works.

I'm pretty excited. If you couldn't tell.

We're all incredibly grateful for the turnout yesterday and the rousing success of the first annual Winter Festival. It was an absolute joy to celebrate with everyone.

Unfortunately, the Dome has claimed yet another person. My husband, Tony, was gone when I woke up this morning, along with all of his things. It's been a not great start to the week, to put it mildly. I hope you can all respect our privacy during this difficult time. Please give Peter and Ryder some space as they're adjusting especially Peter.

So, Pepper and I have been working really hard but I think enough is in place that we can finally tell everyone! Fortunately I didn't miss

On December 1st, we're hosting a Winter Festival! I had originally wanted Fall but it was way too late to start planning and besides, WINTER! And considering the weather here, we might even get snow.

We're gonna have sleigh rides down Main Street and everyone there is going to decorate. A lot of the local businesses pitched in and we have raffle prizes and I'm not 100% sure which, yet, but all the proceeds are going to go to charity. There's a hot cocoa bar and a singalong around a fire and possibly even a visit from everyone's favorite fat guy with toys.

I'd love to get everyone involved, half the fun is community after all. We'll need help decorating, some vendors, music, everything! And of course we'll rotate shifts so everyone still has time to enjoy it.

Also still accepting ideas for at least a week, but you know, we need time to put it all together!
