I miss Dog. He was a good dog. And yes, his name was Dog. Terribly unoriginal. I was eleven when he came to me. What can I say? I rather lacked imagination.

In any case, I think I might go to the shelter and adopt a companion.

Back home in Skyrim, I'm the Harbinger of a group called the "Companions". We are a group of trained warriors that dedicate our lives to helping the people of Skyrim in times of need. We train with each other, and then when assistance is needed, one of us ventures out to take care of the requested contract.

I'm under the impression I'm going to be stuck here for a while, so I'd like to have something similar here. I like the kinship of it, probably even moreso than the money-making or the training. Anybody that's a fighter here could offer training to those that would like self-defense knowledge, as well as offer lessons to those within our group. There would be some rules, of course, but I think we could make this work.

I don't care if you're human, if you have special abilities, or how experienced you are. What matters to me, and the Companions, is your mettle, the desire to learn, and what's in your heart. We're good, honorable people. We want to keep it that way.

I'm in need of a new traveling assistant. Companion, you know. Having a head full of tangled stories of the cosmos is rubbish if I've no one to share them with.

I've still not become quite used to Madison Valley but so far some of the people I've met here are pleasant. Looking forward to spending more time around Amberle and Eretria - they seem to be about as close to home as I'll get. I found a nice leather-bound journal at a local store, but I fear I might be sticking out with this attire of mine. I look like I'm ready to throw myself into a war at any moment, not sure how well that sits with the locals of this city. Must also shave, my beard is growing too long. I've already got a number of things to do, so I might as well start making a list again. Missing my Shield-Siblings of the Companions, as well as Paarthurnax.

I know I've only been here for a couple days and can't work until I've been here at least a fortnight but...
I do want to offer my skills to some sort of place around here so I can make my living.
I've built a house for myself, I can craft weapons and armor from scratch, and I can make really anything that involves working metal and leather.

If this sounds like something you need, don't hesitate to contact me. I'd love to do quiet observing until I can work, to get a feel for how everything is handled.

I know so many people here. So many familiar faces. Of course, I'm present at everyone's birth and all that, but it is those near Death experiences that hold firm in my mind.

In the interest of attempting some balance here, I am not supposed to be here. I know this. Beyond the usual "but I was doing other things" or "I was not meant to be trapped". I apologize in advance for any trouble that is caused by Nature trying to correct this mistake.

I am looking for a name that I can use among the... townsfolk and for those of you who really aren't keen on calling me by my actual name. I haven't decided on one, yet, though. I am open to suggestions, of course, and would prefer to stick with a name that begins with the letter D.

This has not been anything less than jarring.
I already miss the vast expanse of my homeland.

I hope the Divines have a good reason for bringing me here, if they are the cause of this.
