One of my children is a returning child I thought I'd never see again. And now I don't want to see her go home. I don't entirely know what that means, but I know I'm going to be both relieved and upset when she goes.

The other two? Now them, I don't know if this'll ever happen again so it's been a rush of spending time with both of them because I for certain the one can never happen, and the Magic 8 Ball on the other is coming up as "My sources say no" and that means I need to get to know him.

These kids showing up is simultaneously absolutely wonderful and incredibly depressing at the same damn time.

I thought it would be weird to have these other children about, the ones who claim Mary as their mother and someone else as their father, but I find I really don't mind. I'm quite secure in my relationship with my wife, I've no doubt she'll have no reason to cheat on me with these other men. The children are simply a glimpse of what could be, were I to leave this place while she stayed behind. It comforts me to think she would find happiness again, were I not able to be here for her in future.
