All right, so, I've been talking about this for a while and I finally got myself organized.

Photography Club will begin this Monday. It'll be in the afternoon, I'm thinking around four, so that it's after school for the teenagers I know are interested, but also hopefully accessible for any adults who might be interested in participating.

It's open for all levels from complete beginners to experienced pros. We'll learn various techniques and find fun places around town to take pictures.

My new life begins!

So it seems that the people of Madison Valley are well versed in taking on strange newcomers. This seems to be more than simply a different town, but a different reality, which takes some getting used to, but I've been given a perfectly serviceable apartment, enough money to last me until I'm either employed or have made an escape, and I'm told that I have friends here, though they may very well be different in some way to how I remember them, such as Kurt, who is only a teenager here.

In terms of the dome, I have yet to make any headway in determining it's make up or architect, which is frustrating, and while I'm loathe to admit defeat just yet I'm looking into the opportunities for employment.

I believe there is a community college here which could benefit from my expertise?

Okay, this might sound a little weird, but bear with me. I've been thinking lately about how things have changed a lot for me since I got here. I mean, my Imam is now my guardian and he's way cooler than I ever thought he could be. Still a total dork, but cool, too. And I think living with him has helped me get a better handle on my faith and how I want to live my faith every day. You guys have all been pretty great about letting me figure that out too. I mean, no one cares that I leave school during study hall for afternoon prayers and no one minds that some days I want to wear a hijab and some days I don't. Everyone's even pretty great about helping me through fasting and stuff, too.

SO I guess my question is...has anyone else felt like things have changed for them since being here? Good or bad ~~but I'm hoping most of it is good~~. Apparently this is what happens when I can't sleep.
