I'm not sure if it's been noticeable, but I decided it was time for a career change here in Madison Valley.

Near the end of the previous decade, I took a job at Hilliard Lyons Investments. As you can imagine, it wasn't easy, but I'm hoping to establish some strong connections and bridges. While we, as refugees, seem to be thriving, I believe building a more stable and concrete agreement regarding investments will only make lives better.

My goal, in the end, is to provide a reliable means for educational loans, home equity, and continued business growth that has also been approved by the town itself.

Our relationship with the citizens in Madison Valley seems to be moving in a positive direction, which could open more opportunities for all of us should this go well.

So, Pepper and I have been working really hard but I think enough is in place that we can finally tell everyone! ~~Fortunately I didn't miss~~

On December 1st, we're hosting a Winter Festival! I had originally wanted Fall but it was way too late to start planning and besides, WINTER! And considering the weather here, we might even get snow.

We're gonna have sleigh rides down Main Street and everyone there is going to decorate. A lot of the local businesses pitched in and we have raffle prizes and I'm not 100% sure which, yet, but all the proceeds are going to go to charity. There's a hot cocoa bar and a singalong around a fire and possibly even a visit from everyone's favorite fat guy with toys.

I'd love to get everyone involved, half the fun is community after all. We'll need help decorating, some vendors, music, everything! And of course we'll rotate shifts so everyone still has time to enjoy it.

Also still accepting ideas for at least a week, but you know, we need time to put it all together!

While it lacks the rustic charm of Zhu Zin, I can't say I mind the place. Fewer animals, better hygiene, it's the simple things, really. I have a few issues with the travel limitations but there's not much I can do about that, I've been told.

Such as it is, I've been given my orientation and this neat little gadget, and set free to roam as I please. I guess if I'm stuck here then I should start looking for a job. Perhaps a bit quick, but I've never been the sort to sit idle for long. Where do they post the Wanted listings around here?

For those who haven't met me, my name's Sonya Blade.

Since my ward went back home late winter, I've kept her room as it was, but lately, I've been thinking-

To those looking, I have a room I'll be putting up for rent at 422 Cragmont St.

A few things to keep in mind for those considering. I do have a small child and a black cat. My daughter knows not to go to that room without permission, but the cat goes where she wants-so long as it's indoor's.

Also, our house is haunted by the ghost of an old lady. Most of the activity is more mischievous then anything downright harmful, but it can be scary if you're not aware or used to it.

Rent can be negotiable, but I'll expect something in way of history.

[*added after some thinking* Sorry, men, I did manage to break contact with the ghost..her name's Mabel. She'd be fine if the renter was a female, but male and there might be issues. She died in the 1920s and well, there's something about stubbornness and the grave.

So I had an idea during the cruise and I'm kind of piecing it together and if anyone is interested please let me know and if you think it's ridiculous and stupid...please let me know but gently because I'll probably cry.

I've noticed so many different cultures and people enjoying the foods from the different places we're all from. So I'm proposing a Foodies Club! ...okay, we can change the name. But I'm thinking like once a month, someone hosts. Everyone can bring a dish they enjoy and want others to try. We can rotate out who hosts and who brings what but I thought it might be fun to share and try new things. Plus it might help other new people here make some friends.
