The nights are long and hard, with thoughts drifting into darker lands when I do not wish them to. I cannot focus and it is increasingly difficult to do so even on my better days. One minute I feel one extreme then I feel uncontrollable.

I've called off of work since Thomas was taken home. I keep trying to go but I see the door and think of him and turn around. I can feel the quiet calm eroding. Everything is more vivid already. It has taken longer than the last time - and for that I am thankful. I dislike this descent.

I need a distraction today.

Private to Harry Dresden
This might be strange sounding, so I apologize now, but I met a young woman who is blind and uses her nose to help see - it's fascinating really how one sense can take over for another - however, she has a problem with allergies in this place. Is there something magic can do to help her? I told her I would speak to those I know about it. She's tried the medications but they make her sleepy, which isn't really useful.

Madison Valley is not an entirely bad place to be, I think. It can be rather pleasant, smaller city quaintness is growing on me. I have a job, my love and friends - it's comfortable.
