Bellamy has strung lights along the path that leads to a place in the woods where he's decorated a bunch of trees. In the middle, in a clearing, is a large bonfire - the only place in the area not covered in snow. Bellamy's not much of a party guy, but there's a table with some drinks - hot chocolate, coffee, tea, hot cider, and some cookies and chips from the store. The fire will be going all night, so people are welcome to stay as long as they like.

Yesterday was October 6, the Black Day for Romans. It's the Anniversary of Arausio, when the Roman Armies fell to the German tribes in 105 BC.

But! There are other, better holidays this month, and we should celebrate some of them.

Meditrinalia is October 11, and it's the day that Romans try the new wine vintage.

Equus October is the 15th, and there are horse chariot races. This could be fun. I'm not getting into the sacrificing of horses, though.

I think father's day - or mother's day - is kind of weird for demigods.

I mean, my father is Jupiter. I've never actually met him. Sure, sometimes he answers my prayers if I pray hard enough and it's in his best interest, but it's not like he's had a big place in my life. But at the same time, he's had a huge part in it. I mean, everything I am is because of him.

So...yeah. I guess...I don't hate him like some do, but he's hardly father of the year, either.
