Today, I got home from work and ate six Cadbury eggs without meaning to. Also, did you know there's a candy bar with Oreo bits in it now?

While it seems that everyone is on the subject of gatherings:

I've recently come to learn about something called a murder mystery party. It seems to be something of a staged murder scene that participants are then challenged to solve, to bring the fictional murderer to justice, as it were. It seems to be a good bit of fun, and an excellent use of skills for both trained detectives, training detectives, and clever civilians.

I'd thought, perhaps, to organize one such dinner event.

I don't suppose there would be any interest?

Boredom on the level that this is approaching is never a good thing.

I've discovered the most amazing thing.

It's called a threede movie. A moving picture, but with sound! And though you're watching in the dark, you wear dark glasses. Presumably to protect you from the pictures coming right off the screen toward you.

I think I shall never cease to be both impressed and utterly baffled by how early celebrations seem to be begun in this time, or the fervor with which they are anticipated.

Since it appears that I am not going to be leaving any time soon, I suppose that I am in need of a job.

I am a detective inspector, homicide division, originally from Melbourne, Australia. It seems that the local precinct is not doing any hiring of so called refugees, and they found it especially amusing that I am from 1928, a veritable antique who is not in line with the contemporary methods of doing things.

I suppose that if I am going to stay in this field, I would have to go into private investigation. That would be my preferred job choice, but I am open to other options.
