Of all the strangeness to be thrown their way William the Bloody found the lack of the sun to be one of the most enjoyable. Oh he knew that so many others were far from thrilled with the latest development; but the bleach blonde vampire was just happy to be able to take an afternoon stroll outside...without having to worry about bursting into flames. Granted the floating clock and it's continual countdown did dampen his mood somewhat. Yet the strong wine Spike had brought back from Waterdeep was going far to help take the edge off. The whole end of days vibe had him set on edge, and thoughts of being sent back to his immolation was far from amusing. However the man was doing his best to push those concerns into the back of his mind; and focused on making the most of whatever time he actually had left.
The engagement to Buffy was certainly cause for celebration, despite the looming worries over being shipped back to his death once again. Hell it was a bloody miracle that he'd had a second chance with her at all, but when she said yes it nearly floored the vamp completely. Right now though he needed to get out, needed to stretch his legs and hopefully kill some baddies. Oh William doubted he'd be lucky enough to slaughter any monsters, so he'd settle for a casual stroll through the pitch black town...and focus instead on finishing off an unopened bottle of elvish wine, while having a bit of company along for the ride. That ever present darkness didn't bother the vampire in the least; his undead senses and nocturnal nature already built and used to walking in a world without sunlight. So as he waited there for her arrival, the only source of illumination around seemed to be that small glowing ember that came from his lit cigarette.
