Elphaba Thropp paced the tiny area beneath the floor. It seemed like hours since she “melted”. She honestly couldn’t help but wonder if Ozians were the dumbest creatures in the universe. First believing that old fool had any magical ability at all because he could perform a few simple illusions, then believing that she was allergic to water. It was scientifically impossible. Blood is comprised of ninety two percent water by volume. One could not live with such an allergy. But that didn’t stop those imbeciles from believing that and every other rumor that came out about her. Her personal favorite was that she had a third eye that stayed opened permanently. Even now, it got a chuckle from her. She looked forward to finding a place with Fiyero away from all of the horrible things these people thought and believed. Her only real regret was leaving Glinda again.

She’d heard Glinda opening weeping above her a while ago. Elphaba wanted to come up, wrap her arms around her friend, and tell her everything. Tell her how Elphaba and Fiyero planned it, she was fine, and leaving Oz forever to build her life with him. A few tears slipped down Elphaba’s cheek, but she quickly shook them off. It was better this way; Safer this way for Glinda and for her. But still, she would miss the only real friend she’d ever had. Where was Fiyero, anyway? She sat on the small, thin cot, closing her eyes for only a moment. Loosing all of her problems and gaining a new life was proving to be as exsausting as her last trip with Glinda. She smiled slightly at the memory, before getting the Grimmerie. She had left Glinda a copy, but even Fiyero would be angry when he found out it was just a copy. She had promised him as part of this new life to leave that book and her magic behind. It was a promise she had intended on keeping, at least once she found a way to bring him back to the Fiyero she knew. After everything, she owed him at least that. She put her reading glasses on, and began to read what she could. Sadly, that wasn't much. She recognized the ancient Ozian, but the other language was a mystery to her. Without realizing it, she nodded off, her glasses sliding down the bridge of her nose.

As though feeling herself fall, she snapped awake. She had to blink twice, thinking she was still dreaming. She was sitting in a library, far larger than any she had ever seen before. If this was normal, she would stay right there, and loose herself in the books. But something wasn't right. Something didn't feel right, and nothing, NOTHING looked right. She shakily stood, looking around wildly, before walking out with the Grimmerie in her hands. She made it out the door, her eyes widening. This was not Oz. How was this even possible. It was illogical. Yet, here she was.

OOC: I hope the formatting is OK, total noob here.))
