It's been a while since I've been in a position where having something akin to social life was difficult.

Things have been busy at the hall but that's something I couldn't ever complain too much over. If anything, I'd be more inclined to complain about the lack of free time.

Although I'm happy to say that any and all open dates for the remainder of 2019 have been booked. That, of course, includes any events that any of my fellow refugees may want to be scheduled. I may or may not make sure to put in for a few days ahead of time.

There are perks to being in charge.

Okay. So.

After a lot of work and paint and scrubbing and construction and building and heavy lifting and decisions (there was A LOT okay?), I can share what Kate Bishop's ultra-secret project of amazingness has been.

I'm sure you might have noticed A Stitch In Time has been closed and dark and missing, right? (If you haven't, WHERE HAVE YOU BEEN? Just kidding. But, seriously, it's been all covered and secretive!)

It will officially be re-opening on April 15 under new management (ME!) and new branding.

You are ALL invited to hang out at the GRAND (RE)OPENING of STATURE. Clothing, accessories, shoes, and even some art by refugee-based designers.

I'm really damn proud of this and excited about it, too. I loved working at the casino and I love giving yoga lessons, but this means a lot to me.

Cassie Lang was my best friend and one of the most caring and brave women I've ever known. She was the epitome of the term 'hero' and was the finest representation of what the Young Avengers stood for. Our first uniforms were designed and created by me and Cassie was ecstatic. She urged us all to always be the best we could be. I probably haven't always done that, but I try! I couldn't not name it after her considering what it will stand for and provide to the town.

SO, yeah.

I'm not doing this for some stupid ass attention, it's not really my thing, but I'm wanting to give the people around here a heads up. Since if you're stupid enough to ignore this, it's on you not me. On Tuesday, I'll be having my baby, but things will be getting a little wild around the town. I know it happens later in the evening so daytime it's fine, but around late afternoon/early evening my advice is to stay indoors and be prepared for a blackout most likely.

Certain areas will be having metal objects flying/moving around and I don't need people getting hurt because I didn't say anything. Higher chance on the loss of power, but I don't know for sure how long or anything since she knew about a blackout was all Dawn said on the issue. Stay inside unless you're wanting to play chicken with your life and don't be fucking stupid, especially when you're getting this warning.

I was digging through the "fun" holidays for March when my brain decided it was time to step back and think too hard.

Or maybe not enough.

It's kind of crazy where your mind goes, though, at these weird hours of the night or morning.

I was thinking back to when we, the Young Avengers, started settling into our new space. The only good thing Dad ever left me was the old publishing factory. Even then, we just kind of took it over for our own.

I also thought back to when I first met Eli, Billy, and Teddy. Trying to be heroes when my sister's wedding was being robbed. I saved their sorry asses then and I'd probably still be doing it now.

Also, television is crap past 2 AM. Not even the infomercials are entertaining.

Tomorrow will be the big T-W-O year mark of being holed up a proud resident of Madison Valley. You kind of have to wonder how many years it would be if I took into account my apparent past appearances, though. Five? Six?

I turned the big 2-4 the other day, too. That's...something? Honestly, when you go home and come back, it really messes with your sense of time.

Especially when you:
1) Survive a mutant shark attack
2) Somehow find yourself the leader of the West Coast Avengers while trying to keep your apparent boyfriend with superpowers safe
3) Spend a few hours as a giant hawk because B.R.O.D.O.K. is an asshole who can't take no for an answer
4) Befriend a dragon named Bridgette
5) Have to explain your appearance on Jimmy Kimmel to Captain America ...Sorry Steve
6) Deal with Barton's bad decisions
7) Come face to face with your Mom who you swore was dead because she was probably murdered by your supervillain father who actually turned out to have a heart because he rescued you from your arch nemesis but is still a major dickface when she rescues you from under a few collapsed walls and a ceiling in the middle of a twisted carnival trap -- thanks again, Clint Remember why you really don't like amusement parks at night.

I definitely need like twelve more cups of coffee, seven more hours of yoga, and a millenia of pizza.
