WHAT Meeting Grandma
WHEN Wed, March 13

WARNINGS Feeeeeeels

They'd given Molly the option if she wanted to meet Sarah Rogers, knowing she was going to die. It was a lot to put on a kid but she took it like a champ and had agreed to meet Steve's mom. Family was so important to all of them and Sarah Rogers was a big part of that. It really sucked that he couldn't just stop by his own parents' home and introduce Molly to them, explain how important she was, but one grandparent was better than none. For as emotional as this week had been and was going to continue to be, it was still one of the best birthdays he'd had in a while.
He led her up to the front door and used the key hidden underneath a nearby brick to let himself into the Rogers' apartment. The Steve of this time was out at work, trying to scrape together money for his mother's medication even though there wasn't anything that was going to stop her passing tomorrow. Sarah Rogers wasn't in great shape, but she knew Molly was coming, that she was meeting a lot of people in a short period of time, and Bucky thought it was helping to make it all a little easier.
He knocked on her door softly and when she called out, "Come in," he opened the door and stepped inside, Molly following behind him.
"Mrs Rogers, I'd like to introduce you to Molly, your granddaughter."
Sarah was already sitting up a bit and held her hands out to Molly. "Come here, let me look at you," she requested warmly. "James, make us some tea, would you?"
Bucky took the hint with a smile and nodded before he turned to give the two of them a few minutes of privacy.
