This coming Tuesday night is going to mark the beginning of the other, lesser known Eid.
Eid al-Adha.
It's the Islamic festival of Sacrifice and marks the end of the
Hajj. I believe it's important to share our culture so despite it being less of a festival and more of a four day religious event, I'm going to be opening up the Mosque's doors to anyone who'd like to come by.
I mean, they're always open. But they're going to be literally open until sundown on the 25th.
Traditionally we celebrate by giving meat to the less fortunate, but that's weirdly specific these days, so there's just going to be food for anyone who wants something to eat. We're also hosting a clothing drive for charitable donations.
