WHO: Jason Grace and Erin Sheppard (Match-up) WHAT: Taking movies way too seriously WHEN: Tuesday evening WHERE: Roger's Corner WARNINGS: TBD STATUS: Closed/Ongoing/Match-up
Things were actually going pretty well for Jason here in Madison Valley. He had an awesome girlfriend who liked him despite the demigod weirdness, he had his sister, and for the first time in his life, he was finally getting the chance to be a normal kid. He loved that. He loved having to go to school and do homework and having the things he worried the most about being his grades.
No monsters. No world-threatening prophecies. No goddesses wiping his brain. Just the normal worries and fears of a normal teenage boy.
Sure, he was still pretty straight-edge and straight-A - the thought of getting a B rather gave him panic attacks - but that wasn't so terribly strange either.
He was taking a summer school class just for fun; a class in film studies. All they really did was sit around and watch movies and critique them, but Jason loved it. He had basically no pop culture references because technology and Demigods didn't mix. And unlike Percy, he wasn't one of those who had spent a dozen years in the real world when he'd been discovered. He'd been three when he'd come to Camp Jupiter, and had missed out on the human world entirely.
Getting out of his class a little before seven, he considered going to Lindsay's, but thought she had something on, so instead he went to Roger's Corner and ordered a giant root beer float. He loved them, and his demigod metabolism didn't hate him afterwards.
Sitting at the counter, he pulled out a notebook and wrote down a few little comments about the movie he'd just seen, clearly taking it far too seriously.
