I apologize if there are those who may find this terribly dull, but I have been doing some light reading about the weather. Not what the weather is, mind you, but more on how the predictions are made by the men and women on the news stations.
I admit that the science behind how this information is found is quite advanced and something that I am not familiar with. I remember growing up with stories of why the rain fell, the sky rumbled, the sun burned, and so on. Much of our weather suggestions were based on the phases of the moon and the location of the sun if I recall correctly. That was, of course, after I was older and could not inform others that the first frost would come early due to an eager winter spirit.
I have to wonder some of these weather events would be explained without the use of modern sciences? And, no. I was not given as a reason for heavy snow storms should you find yourself wondering.
