With the message of children arriving in town near the holidays had sent chatter throughout the network. While the announcement seemed to be met with excitement by many, there were others who seemed less than thrilled.
Elsa wasn’t sure how to feel. Children were things that a queen should consider, but it had never been a subject she discussed. Aside from the fact that she only had Anna to discuss it with, there was no need to seek out a suitor as Arendelle was thriving as it stood with Elsa ruling over the kingdom.
“The Dome seems to be in quite a giving mood this time of year, doesn’t it?” she asked, turning to look up at Qrow. Nestled against his side with some holiday movie playing, Elsa had made her apartment quite the cozy Christmas nook.
*** Qrow was definitely those who were less thrilled by the future children showing up. He certainly never thought of getting close to someone enough to settle down and having kids with them. Besides, he had his nieces. They were kind of like his own daughters and that was enough for him. And even then he kept his distance from them, so his bad luck wouldn't affect them much. Kids of his own was just off the table.
Right now, he tried not to think of it too much. He was certainly happy to spend the evening with Elsa, watching Christmas movies. He wasn't a fan but if he had to choose between that and future kids, he'd take the movies any day.
"It does, though I'm not sure I like what it's giving," he said, munching on some popcorn they had made for the movie. "Did Weiss tell you she has twins now?"
***
"Twins?" It was difficult to keep up with the children and who they belonged to, so the surprise was genuine. "I suspect she's getting along well, though. Weiss would be the type of mother who would keep things quite orderly before the chaos began."
Elsa had to chuckle. She could only imagine Weiss keeping twins and Fred in line, but she had no doubt that Weiss could manage.
The knock on her door pulled her attention from both the movie and Qrow. Excusing herself with a fleeting kiss, Elsa made her way to the door. A heavy silence followed before Elsa was calling for Qrow from the front door, her voice cracking just slightly.
