You know, I get that it sucks to have the big tentpole blockbuster movie flash your life up for everyone.

But I'm having a hard time feeling that sorry for the movie people when us TV people basically get our lives screwed up every week. So, sorry movie folk. It sucks for you too, but TV people, here's to weekly torture fests. Literally, in a few cases here and there.

How often do comics come out? Like monthly, right? I guess your level of fucked up is closer to us, so Jason and other Roy and all, you get included too.

I know some of the stories here. I've heard before, but I haven't. And you can talk from faraway on this. It carries through electricity. Like magic.

It makes noises like clicking when you push letters. I like that.

Some of the people here walked out of stories into a world that's more real to people here, and less to them. I wish Varric was here. Maybe he could meet his stories and see them the way he does in his head.

What is ice cream? A woman with her heart in pieces told me I should have some when I said he still cared.

Hello people whose faces I know. And people whose faces I don't know. The faces don't matter so much, but it's nice to see the same ones sometimes.

Most of us are aware that it's the holiday season, so I'm here to ask some questions that could be helpful for some of the newer residents. I'm hoping any answers will be especially useful for anyone new to the neighborhood that have no idea what is going on, what to do, or why Santa may have thrown up Christmas cheer on everything.

1. Is Storybrooke doing anything special this year for the holidays or New Year's Eve?
2. What events are happening that some people might not be aware of?
3. Does anyone need volunteers for anything?

And last but not least, does anybody want some randomly knitted things or food? Muffins? Christmas cookies? I have too much of everything in my efforts to get into the spirit of the season. For god's sake, I have even knitted some gun holsters. ...I may have taken this hobby too far...

Have you noticed that while we have all these apparent hero and vigilante types around, we are sorely lacking in the villain department? Not that I'm complaining, really. Sure, we have the little magical misadventures, but nothing really evil or villainous as far as I've been able to tell. Unless I'm mistaken there is no one person causing them to happen either, right?

Anyway, it's making me feel a little paranoid lately. Does any one else feel like the other shoe is ready to drop on top of this place while being attached to a hundred foot giant?
...Wait, that could actually happen with all the magic around, couldn't it. Damn it. Sorry. I've put it into the air of possibilities. If that actually does happen, that one is probably on me for thinking it. Feel free to glare in my direction if it springs to life like the Stay Puft Marshmallow Man.

And this has been on my mind lately and has absolutely nothing to do with what I was just talking about. What exactly happens to pets that any of us adopt if we suddenly vanish from Storybrooke? Do they just get taken back to the shelter or what?

Since Christmas is the time of year people are supposed to get what they ask for - whoever keeps asking for more Paranormal Activity movies to be made should probably stop. This new one looks like it's even more ridiculous than the last ones I think this is what the 5th one? Eventually enough is enough.

I found this when I was surfing the internet for something to distract me. Anything to avoid having to figure out how to hang the decorations straight that are above my head.

So.. I just had a conversation with Hermey the elf about modern dental practices and whether or not the dentists here in town are any good. If this were high school I'd be pretty sure I had five too many jello shots, but since I haven't had a drink in days, I'm going to assume this is Storybrooke's idea of a Christmas card brought to life.

But hey, if someone sees Santa around, let me know. I have a few choice words for him about Christmas of 1993. Seriously though, does anyone think he's going to show up now? Because that actually might be amazing.

And this whole ball thing... is this a legitimate fairy tale type of ball or what? Having been to different kinds of formal functions over the years, I kind of want to get it straight before I make a huge faux pas of some kind. The last time I did that at a formal affair it ended up with an ambassador in tears and his wife wanting her bodyguards to throw me out a window. Good times.

Sorry for all the trees I lit on fire, I lost count of how many there were by the time this was over, and any general weirdness on my part. That was a new one, even for me.
It should have ruined Halloween for me, but I can honestly say that it didn't. It just makes me want to plan my costume choices a lot better. And possibly take up LARPing or some tabletop gaming.

Is this finally working? I've been trying to use it for at least two days. I assume that it is a means for communication. Fascinating really, almost as nice as my crystal ball which I seemed to have misplaced. Let me know if you come across it. It's an orb, so it would be round. And made of crystal. I'd love to know what magic gives it power. This thing, not my crystal ball. I know how that works, as I was the one that enchanted it.

But since I have this working, could someone be a dear and tell me where I could find a Gorvil? I came here looking for one that I heard was terrorizing the village, but the only thing I've found was a tree that I'm positive was a Treant plotting to destroy us all. I was forced to set it ablaze to end its tyranny before it started. No need to thank me, but I won't turn down a few gold pieces. Adventurers have to pay for meals too.

Don't worry, the fire will die down in a few hours. Whatever you do, don't touch it. It is a very temperamental spell and when you try to put it out, it simply spreads further. I should fix that, but something always comes up before I'm able to. Just let it die on its own and won't spread unless to agitate it. It will be fine, really.

Now, about that Gorvil. I'll settle for something else if there are any other beasts terrorizing the area, but I need to find it eventually. I simply know I can't leave until I've found it and slain it. Those are the rules and we must always follow the rules of adventuring, until we don't. Follow them I mean.

Oh dear, I think I've found another Treant. I had better go deal with this. A wizard's work is never done!

((OOC: Shortly after this post, another lonely gnarled and completely innocent tree was set on fire. No one would be hurt, but that makes two trees currently on fire. Lois is currently an easily distracted adventuring wizard straight out of a slightly off kilter game of Dungeons & Dragons. She's highly fond of learning, saving people, shiny objects, alcohol, and fire.))
