Ah, the magic give, and it takes away. Here's hoping it brings back a few, and leaves off others. If the bloody thing takes orders, it'd be nice if the spells loosened up the borders a bit. I'm feeling hemmed in, these days.

I do not understand how magic can make you want to tell the truth to a device. It's not even a real person. It's maddening. I hate magic.

I don't actually hate Anders all of the time, anymore.

I am getting accustomed to not wearing armor, and then hate how vulnerable we are in this town that never expects demons or darkspawn or blood mages. I like it, and hate liking things. They are too likely to vanish.

I hate that the Ferelden King is here, because he was a friend and fellow hero to Neria, and I cannot compete with a human King. Even if he has strangely shaped eyes. And looks just like another from this town.

I just want her to like me more. I do not see why she would. I have done terrible things, and she is good.

The television still startles me sometimes.

I suppose elven magic mirrors aren't all their reputation makes them out to be. They said that people would be able to hear me through this ridiculous contraption.

Do people really live in a place such as this? It's abysmal.

I don't think I've ever seen this much snow for this long. The Frostback mountains were in a constant state of cold, but it was hardly a place I remained in for long. And most of Ferelden was far more prone to rain. Still, it is rather lovely, even if I am not overly fond of the cold.

How long until things become warm again? There is so much to adjust to here.

I am called Sonia, I am Thane of various holds within my homeland, and also the Harbinger of the Companions. However, I am told that those titles mean little here. Travel across all of Skyrim to earn that respect and gone in the flash of light. Should have brought that priest to Molag Bal...

I have been given a job. It is not what I expected, but it is not taxing. And it smells better than most places I have spent time in before this town. They do not allow weapons behind the counter, though. They would never have survived a week without having their inventory and profits robbed, in Kirkwall.

So no kingdom to rule. No Blight to stop. No chantry board to get jobs off of. What's a misplaced king to do with his time and to earn his supper.

All these dogs running about and not a single a mabari war hound to be seen. It's quite disappointing really. Especially when I had the misfortune to have one of these stray dogs hump my leg. A mabari would never do something so undignified. Roll in nug poop, sure. Hump a leg, never.

Every time I think I've discovered everything this world has to surprise me with, it pulls out something new. Whatever this "reality TV" is, it is truly strange. And engrossing.

Thedas People - except Isabela

I want to get Isabela something to commemorate her opening a legitimate mostly-legal business. Ideas? It's not going to be naked people, before you suggest that.

Right then, does anyone know where to find the chantry board?

I miss my dog. I'm sure my brother is taking fine care of him, because if he's not, I'm going to find a way to cross back into my universe and throttle him. But still...

The sorts of dogs they have here are all very charming and affectionate, yes, and some of them even seem moderately clever. But I don't think they quite compare.

So what do you lot miss most?

You know, when I was thinking that I needed a vacation from being king...this was not it.

Still, at least it's not Orlais. I can do without a place full of attempted assassinations, uprisings, fancy parties with stinky cheeses. Please tell me there will be no parties with stinky cheeses.

I must say this contraption is quite fascinating. I have never seen anything like it. I am really very grateful that the woman who helped me acquaint myself with this world showed me how to use it, else I surely would have been at a loss.
