Well, fuck.

I know they say it's magic, but I can't help feeling like this is a Winchester's fault.

I was thinking about getting a job to support myself while I am here but it occurred to me that I don't have any qualifications. Is that something I should look into? At the very least I was thinking of something with children though I'm not exactly sure what. I haven't held down a job since I was a teenager. Never did got to college back home.

I'm still not accustomed to this technology, at all, so please bear with me if I make any mistakes. But I am accustomed to living in a place where I know my neighbors, and as it seems we're going to be neighbors for longer than any of us expected, I should probably put some effort into getting to know as many of you as I can.

My name is Mary, and before I was here, I was living in Kansas. It was the year 1983, which puts me about thirty years behind this place, and perhaps even farther than some of you. If you had any interest in sharing a little bit of your story with me, I'd love to hear it.

I've also been baking quite a bit, if anyone would like some. As a neighborly gift.

It's a rare week when I cannot think of a fashion in which to apply my skills and talents. Job hunting when you are both out of your element and cut from your usual means is awkward at best. At least there's a bonus in that I do not have to worry about fighting with my family at every turn.

That being said, I have a desire to go do some physical training - anyone up for working with me?

I guess we're not in Kansas anymore.

I've been through stranger things, but damn. Mama always said be careful what you wish for. I've been looking for a way home going on three years now. This ain't home, but it's Earth which is closer than I've gotten before, I guess.

Don't suppose anyone has seen any aliens running around. Little guy who farts helium? Human looking woman in leather who probably looks really pissed off? Psychotic asshole with a scowl and a braid? Maybe a crazy guy with a mask over half his face?

And if someone could point me in the direction of food, I'd be grateful. I've really missed cheeseburgers.

If you're seeing this, I suppose you've seen the Storybrooke Welcoming Committee by now, but on the off chance I've missed you, it seemed proper to introduce myself.  I'm Charming- or David, if you prefer- and I'm the Sheriff's Deputy here.  If you need anything, just let myself or Sheriff Swan know.

In the meantime, all you really need to know is that the best food in town is at Granny's.  And stay away from Regina Mayor Mills.  Trust me.
