Hey all of you. I've heard that there's a massive amount of us and, being the nosy bint that I am, I wanted to know who is all here and introduce myself properly. So... you should all be a doll and reply here and do that.

To be fair, I'm Dorcas Meadowes and I showed up here a few days ago. I'm twenty-one and it was August of 1981 when I left, so I'm kind of in a culture shock here. Getting used to it, though. I was an Obliviator back home.

All right, then. I was brought up to speed, someone showed me how to use this bloody thing (good thing, too, or I'd have probably stared at it for a minute and then pitched it in the bin), and I'm coping with the fact that I'm apparently stuck here for the unforeseeable future. I'm not entirely happy with that news, but I'm on my way to accepting it or, at the very least, not making as many angry faces.

I was kind of in the middle of something back home, so has anyone gotten closer to figuring out how to get us back there? Would like to finish that up, if you don't mind.

Oh, and they said to introduce myself. I'm Dorcas Meadowes.

They're a bit nosey aren't they? I've not even been here a day and I'm already being asked my life story. I get why they're doing it, but some people don't like sharing secrets, y'know? Or is that just me?

Anyway, Lily Potter at your service! I know I was harping on about a holiday, but really I was thinking Italy... and with my family. But, I guess will do? Do you guys at least have ice-cream?

I need a night full of fish and chips and Beatles music. Granny's and YouTube are nice, but sometimes a girl just wants some comfort food and a yellow submarine. Butterbeer would be an added plus, too, but I'm not going to get too needy.

Experience has shown me that when something out of the ordinary happens Potter, Black, Peter, and Remus aren't too far to be found, and despite all the solid evidence and people saying that this is really happening and that I am in Maine in the year 2013 punching letters on a "PDA" to communicate with everyone, I'm still not convinced that they didn't have a hand in this. Right. So things worth noting right now.

1. I'm in the States. I'm the state of Maine, in a town called Storybrooke, to be precise.
   
2. I've been transported here by a magical portal of sorts. Apparently, the magic here is different from what I'm used to.
   
3. I shall need to find a job, since I'm going to be here for awhile, and am going to have to provide for myself.
   
4. Magic exists here, so there's no need in hiding that I'm a witch.

Right, then. Now that I've gotten those things out of the way, I may as well introduce myself. My name is Hermione Granger. I'm eighteen years of age, and I've just graduated from Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardy, which where I come from, is a school in the Untied Kingdom where young witches and wizards go to harness their abilities and become successful members of magical society afterward. I'm a Muggle-born, which means that neither of my parents have any magical blood in them whatsoever, so I am also well-versed in somethings that wizards that haven't grown up around Muggles or have never taken a Muggle studies class aren't, such as how to use a telephone, or operate a car.

I was top in my class at Hogwarts. I'm very good all manners of spells, translating ancient ruins, and brewing potions. I'm also very organized, have excellent typing skills, and good with numbers.

Right then.

My name is Emma Swan, and I'm the Sheriff here in Storybrooke. You've all met the Mayor, and been given your welcome kits, but if you have any questions, please feel free to ask me, or my deputy, David Nolan.

This is awkward Hello. My name is William Darcy and I have been here for what seems like much longer than two days. I am apparently from an adaptation of a Jane Austen novel, though I live in San Francisco.

This was my attempt at being social. If anyone has questions on technology, I can probably be of use.
