Even though Fitz and I have had our lab set up for nearly two years, I regret to say that we haven't really accomplished much, scientifically, in that time. While that is largely due to interruptions and a bit of chaos, I do think it is well past time for that to change.

I really want to look into the magic of this place and see how it relates to scientific advancements. I fully believe that magic is just science we haven't quite worked out yet.

Okay I've been here almost a whole day and I still don't believe it but that doesn't seem to stop it being true. So I turned on the phone. If anything happens because it turned on, sorry, but everyone else had one on and everyone who saw me looking confused kept telling me to put it on.

I think... since it's fairly clear we're really not going anywhere, it's time to find something to do. Being so idle is really.... not my cup of tea.

I'm relieved to feel the Other Guy back around in my head. For so many years I've wanted to find a way to get rid of him. Or to separate the two of us.

Then to actually be without him... to feel vulnerable. And also to feel empty...

I guess the moral of the story: be careful what you wish for -- you just might get it.

Fitting, I suppose, to learn a moral in a town comprised of fairy tale characters.

This is... I've been here for a while now and I can't get over how quiet this place is.

I just... have never been this sedentary for so long. Always moving. Never staying in one place for more than a month. Always working.
