I need a job. Peeta's got one, but it's not fair of me to just expect him to support us both.

I have no actual job experience. I've never had one back home, unless you count being a victor and the Mockingjay. But those don't count here, and I'm glad they don't.

I'm trying to fill out job applications right now. They're more difficult than I thought.

I would have gladly died for Katniss and I still would.

They said we were brought here by magic portals. I don't know what magic is.

I don't think I'll ever be completed used to this place. It's so different from what I know back home. I still don't understand or trust how everyone is so nice. It's not all bad, though. There's a place to hunt and I've made some pretty good friends. And it's not like there's a whole lot left for me in 12.

I don't really know a lot about Valentines Day, just what I've heard at school, but do you think we should go to this thing they're having at that P3 place? I don't even know if Peeta has Or maybe we could get together and do something else? I mean, if you guys don't have other plans.

I still don't trust these people. I still don't understand why they would just give us money and a place to live and not want anything in return. That's not the way life works. People don't just give things away. It's not human nature to be kind.

I guess I'm just kind of waiting for them to ask for something in return.

It's a New Year, whatever good that does us. It never meant much back home, except that we were in for a long stretch of it being cold in the mines, and hunting was harder. Winter was always something we had to survive, and a lot of us didn't.

Uh, you know, maybe you wouldn't be interested, but maybe you'd like to come with me to check my snares this afternoon? It's not terribly interesting, but the snow's sticking to everything and it's really beautiful.

Now I know that the "fact" that this place isn't like the Capitol was practically drilled into my skull when I got here, but that doesn't make everyone flouncing around talking about their "big plans" and celebrating being stuck in this hell hole, any less gag inducing.

It looks like I was worried about the wrong thing. I should have been worried more about passing Trigonometry thank Merlin I had the textbook right next to me than learning how to help James take care of our son. He keeps saying I'm a natural and he must be right. Taking care of Harry is easy compared to this homework

Does anyone know anything about Trigonometry? I thought going to primary school before Hogwarts would make school here easier. I should be more used to muggle classes than this And might be willing to help me get a better grasp on it?

I miss how things are at home with us I wish I was your age here I burnt the cake I was trying to bake for dessert so maybe you can pick something up on the way home for us to eat after dinner? I didn't burn that at least.

I really do like this place a lot. It is nice to be able to spend time with my sister, without constantly worrying. And it is, of course, far preferable to death. I have come to terms with what would have been my fate in my own world, but I am glad nonetheless to avoid it. Still, there is much I still do not know about this town. Ser Howe, would you perhaps be willing to come exploring with me? You were so very helpful when I arrived, and I would quite like some company.

You know what's kind of comforting? Even in a weird town in the middle of Maine full of magic and superheroes, Microsoft Word still sucks. That's what I get for being lazy and just using what was already installed. Half an essay trashed.

Well I have a job, and I have to admit that I'm really excited to work! I never had a job before, nor have I ever had ice cream until arriving here so I think this will be a good fit.

I'm still living with out a roommate, so I was thinking it would be a good opportunity to maybe get a dog or a cat for a pet. I'm leaning towards getting a cat because I'm told they're easier to handle and more independent.

Speaking as sort of an expert on the whole finding yourself in a world where you exist in a tv show, I feel like I should give out some pointers. I'm pretty sure these translates to all media.

- Don't Watch Your Show. (Read your book, Your Comic..etc).
- Don't google your name.
- Stay away from fans.
- Don't read anything they might have written.
- Don't look up actors.

Trust me, it'll just mess with your head. Obviously, these are just suggestions but trust me, you'll thank me.

Hey, everyone.

My name is Kitty Pryde. Back in my own reality, I was the Headmistress of the Jean Grey School for Higher Learning. Here in Storybrooke, I've been working with Mayor Mills to set up a communal space for all the youth, both local and displaced.

Basically, the point is that the Storybrooke Youth Center will be opening soon, to give the kids and teenagers in Storybrooke a place to hang out and have fun in a safe environment. There will be areas for athletic activity, as well as places to socialize, and even to study once school rolls around. What we're hoping is that we can create a space where the young people in town can interact in a safe environment that promotes positive attitudes.

The point of this post is that the center will need staff. I will be running things, along with my colleague, Logan Howlett, but we definitely need more people in order to get this operation up and running. If you're interested, please contact me here, or you can email your information to me at pryde.katherine@storybrooke.gov. We really appreciate any support that we can get.

Also, classes will be staring at the Elementary, Junior High and High Schools, as well as the Community College, on September 3, the Tuesday following labor day. All children and teens under the age of eighteen are required to register for school. Please use the following form to provide your information, or that of your child, and we'll get them into the system so that they're registered for classes.
