You know, it sucks that my dad's gone. It really does. I definitely miss him.

Even a month later, it's still pretty amazing to have little Finn here. Never really thought about being a dad, ~~at least, not before Annie was here the last time,~~ but I'm not half bad at it so far, I don't think.

He's come and splashed around in the pool a bit, when I've been there. Few more months and I'll start proper lessons with him.

I don't really get how I'm supposed to just ~~go to a party~~ live a regular life like a normal kid here when I'm supposed to be helping close the doors of death. Call me oblivious, but I just realized that Piper and Leo are gone. Anyone know when they got sent back? I thought that we couldn't leave. Wasn't that what we were told when we were brought here? So, is being sent home just as random as being brought here?

So, I went from having no job to having two. I went by the pool the other day and the stables on Sunday and now I've got both jobs. I'm going to be a lifeguard and a...stable hand or whatever at the stables. The guy who runs the place seemed intrigued that the horses took to me so quickly, but when you can communicate with them, it helps a lot. So, this'll be interesting. I've never had a real job before unless saving the world counts, which I don't think it does.

Finnick and I have been "nesting" or getting our place ready for when the baby comes. His new job at the community pool is helping out a lot. Or it will when we get the first check. Madge has been a blessing. She stays with me when Finnick is gone and she's been teaching me about some of the traditional District 12 meals. When I get one of them perfect I'll have to have everyone over for dinner.

Oh! The baby just kicked. I think we're going to have another swimmer.

Well, it looks like I'm going to be here for a while, and I've decided I'm okay with that. Back home, I was dead.

So I've gotten a job: teacher's assistant and soccer coach. I'm actually really excited about it - I used to be good with kids, and I think I'll be better now that I don't have to deal with prophecies and monsters and all the other stuff that drove me literally crazy. For the first time in my life, I'm really looking forward to the school year starting.
