I know not much goes on here in town but I'm sure there's a local news station, right? Who can I get in touch with for an interview? I miss writing. I thought about restarting my blog here but who's going to believe I am who I say I am when the whole world thinks I'm a fictional character? It's still so bizarre.

You could try writing under a pen name?

The thought did cross my mind.

It could be my alter ego like how all the superheroes do it.

You could always try for a job at the paper if you want to write badly enough. Sure, print is a dying media, but it's not as if we get to actually leave town to do any real journalism outside of the local events.

But if you wanted to do the blog, don't let the fictional status deter you any. If all else fails, you can just claim that your parents were fans of the character, if your fictional version is old enough.

I'm open to any type of journalism, printed or otherwise. My last job was an internship at my local news station but I did little writing there. Most of my work consisted of research and shadowing my mentor.

I think she is but not the TV version of me. My comic version (who is white, weirdly enough) should be old enough. These comics have been around for quite some time.

I work at the paper so it wouldn't be hard to at least get you an interview if you want to try for it.

Researching all the versions of yourself can be weird, but interesting. I've apparently been around for seventy-five years and have over a dozen variations. One of which was played by the same actress that apparently played my own mother on the show I'm known for. On the plus side, there are easy ways to use that longevity and years of history for our own reasons if needed. But yeah... definitely weird.

Oh my God, yes I would love to!

Wow. I suppose then, it's quite possible for another version of yourself to be brought here too...I never really thought about it until now.

Consider it done once I get your name. We could use new blood around here.

It's actually more of a surprise to me that it hasn't happened yet. If it does have to happen, I'm just going to keep hoping it's not the one that looks like my mom.

Iris, Iris West.

That would definitely be pretty weird.

Lois Lane-Queen. Nice to meet you, Iris. I'll set you up with that interview as soon as possible. I look forward to seeing you at the paper.

Enough weirdness to make my imaginary therapist richer than a Luthor. In fact, I'm kind of surprised the local therapists and such aren't making a killing at all the possible emotional and mental dramas that can be caused here.

It's nice to meet you too. Likewise!

I suppose it's because a lot of us are already accustomed to the weirdness. I have heard that things can get a little out of control here, though. I'm lucky enough to not have experienced any of that yet.

Yeah, things can get strange. Like the time some of us were turned into our costumes. But over all it hasn't been so terrible that we couldn't get through the events. I think the worst one I've seen was the zombie incident.

Maybe some time down the road, I'll graduate up to becoming an anchor. I don't really have the experience for it.

no one has experience around here. people just do jobs because someone has to do them and it's like 'hey, you're hired so everyone isn't jobless and running around robbing the place'. so you could do whatever you want i bet.

For a couple of people who don't have experience in the positions they now hold, everyone certainly is doing a great job. I doubt every person who's come over to this world is completely lacking in work experience.

Like yourself. Ever thought about a career in track and field? I think you would be really good at it.

i guess? i mean they have nothing to compare it to too, so it's like whose going to know if you're a really shitty psychiatrist or whatever you're doing because you're usually a cricket. i'm still mad no one made tony stark work retail or something.

i'd be awesome, but i'd also be cheating because i'd blow everyone away. literally if i wanted to but i don't.

There's a psychiatrist who's a cricket?

Ha, you're right. On the other hand, have you raced Barry yet?
